I agree! This stage is always fun when you see plants drinking like crazy and exploding with growth during flowering stretch! My favorite part is right when flower stretch starts and the plants seem to almost double in size every couple days!
Bubba trouble.Magic.Very big.And good
Still going right now. It’s day 50 right now I think (or close to that, I’d have to go check)
Is Magic still breeding?
Is that a Mephisto strain? Sounds like a limited series.
Nah bro..Magic Strains..Bubba Trouble is a strain of magics, thats big awesome n yummy. Although must be elsewhere possibly.i dont see BT there..others are though
Last I knew yes..few yrs back I ordered a few things from him.Binary is active they just had a restock..and magic is still on DC seed..so tbt, unsure. I hope so,has some good genetics.
I looked it up, doesn’t seem to be available, but they do have a cross at NASC.
Hi everyone,
here are the three Mendo Frost Autos at the moment.
All three are growing in 50 L pots and have received no training. The yellow plants you can see around the edges in some of the pictures are different plants, so please ignore those.
What I find especially interesting is the difference in structure and height between the three Mendo Frosts.
The shortest one, at the back right, is only around 50 cm tall measured from the soil. She is extremely compact and there is a lot going on underneath that canopy.
The plant at the front right is around 70 cm tall, and the largest one on the left is roughly 90–100 cm tall, again measured without the pot.
So overall they are surprisingly short, but I would not really call them small. They are very compact, broad and bushy plants with a lot of flowering growth inside the canopy.
This actually fits very well with something we have been seeing for quite a while with these large 50 L pots. In our system, plants in the larger pots often seem to grow more in width and less in height.
The 50 L pots are only a little taller than our 25 L pots, but they are much wider and almost cylindrical, with nearly the same width at the bottom as at the top. The 25 L pots are much more V-shaped.
We have seen plants that reached around 1.80 m in 25 L pots stay closer to around 1.40 m in the 50 L pots, while becoming considerably broader. So for us, the shape of the root s
pace seems to influence the overall architecture of the plant.
That can be a very useful advantage, especially with genetics that normally grow extremely tall. We have had Cookies reaching around 2 m in our system. If that same genetic tendency can be shifted more into width than height in a 50 L pot, that suits our lighting setup very well.
Because we light from above and from the sides, a shorter and wider plant can expose much more of its flowering structure to strong light. Instead of building a very tall plant with lower sections far away from the main light source, more of the plant stays inside an effective lighting zone.
The large Mendo Frost in particular has developed a very impressive structure with flowering sites everywhere. I am not going to start counting bud sites or predicting yield at this point. The pictures probably tell the story better than numbers do. What matters now is how well all of those flowers develop and fill out over the coming weeks.
So far, what I find most interesting about Mendo Frost is the combination of relatively little height with a very dense and highly branched structure.
Now we get to see whether she can turn all of that structur
e into weight.
In Update to those eight I needed to give away…just received a short.
The big ones are those eight of Barney’s farm ..it s exactly one week ago ![]()
Working like crazy those autopots. Proud to show you…the ones on the right are Bruce banner…just 4 weeks old and kind of a little stressed from standing to near to each other for one week…but…we LL see what LL come…
I believe Mendo Frost is an F1, which while the plants will be very similar, they will not have the super stable traits of a strain taken to to F4 or beyond. You have to check out what filial generation your plants are to get an idea of phenotypical variation %.
Oh, me4ndo frost are up and all three look quiet different, one is like 50 cm like a pure indica, then we have one whicjh looks like an original, like 1m high biut bushy and withmore then 500 buds, strong flowering, producing both, small and this one already a lot resin…the third one looks funny ,almost same size then the second one, but löess flowering and less resin..maybe that one come later but from y experience this one has no chance…so three plants and three different ones…
Sounds about right from a brand new f1 from fastbuds. If you want stability go for their rf3 line, that’s probably as stable as they get from fastbuds. In theory, an rf3 is equivalent to an f8. So I would put my money on those being more stable.
hell yeah bud!!
