Recommend me a camera

No matter which one you get, you'll probably need some sort of stand or tripod. If you are trying to zoom in that close or microscope mag levels, the slighted movement will make blurry pics. Just a thought.
I do happen to have a tripod, and adapter that allows me to put a camera shoe on a microphone stand with a boom arm too. I just don't have any way to use a wi-fi or usb microscope. I totally believe the microscope is fantastic for people who have something compatible with it, but it's worthless for me.

I dunno, if I do a grow journal I'd have to scrape the metadata from the pics before uploading. Probably stupid to post evidence online anyway. I'm in a qazi-legal state and don't intend to break any laws, but there is some grey area. No need to incriminate myself just to seek advice and interaction from more experienced growers. People on online forums are usually more concerned with their perceived pecking order than helping each other anyway. I don't want to have anything to do with that crap. I could care less who's important and who isn't on some internet forum.

It's not really that way here. Plain and simple.

I like doing a journal so I can document exactly what I do. So it is repeatable and others may learn from it. And really that's the only reason that I'm here, to learn. As I would say a majority of people here are here to learn and develop and refine the art of growing cannabis.

Scrubbing the data from your photos is real easy. That's usually the last thing that I do and you can do it all at once to all the ones you're going to post that time.

You totally control your exposure here. If there's something you feel uncomfortable with about revealing, then don't.

Well, if you use a point and shoot camera that's a few years old it probably won't have much metadata and you can usually turn those things off. I doubt cheap cameras have gps built in, worth checking the specs though. I'd be more worried about using a phone as those encode a lot of junk. Don't connect any device to your home wifi, use a VPN, and I think the forum scrubs a lot of data for you. I could be wrong on that last point. Pay cash! Don't leave a digital paper trail. Pawn shops might have cheap older cameras too. I know those can be seedy places but might be able to score a real nice camera for a few bucks.

Security is definitely a valid concern. Do a journal if you think it will help you or if you just like doing it. If it's stressful, just hang out and chat!
