Ok no iron. Torch it copper fittings needs to get pretty evenly hot to suck in the solder. Cut 2"-3" on either side of the hole so u have enough room to put in a short piece of copper pipe with a coupling on both sides. Clean and file the existing pipe ends the new piece between the couplings with the copper cleaning cloth as well as the inside of the couplings. Put flux on all the parts u cleaned pop it together and solder. It sounds like a lot but save yourself $600-$1200**** Most of the time u have some play with the existing copper so make it fit tight and solder away
Call me crazy cause I'm definitely not a plumber but couldn't you just buy one of those shark bite couplers and just cut it right at the hole and add that in? I had to slice a section into my copper water line and it worked great for me.

Yes excellent point!! I thought about that but are u going to buy a shark bite when you can just put a bucket for now. Its only barely filling a cup. I just figured save $20
Also hed still have to run to the store now and if you're going to buy the cutter might as well get it all

Yeah I get what you mean just figured I'd throw that idea out there before someone had to learn how to braze some copper haha. It's always a good time but not really if you have to learn on your own lol

So breaking my pipe brings up a question. I dont clean my pipes often and whenever I break one I scrape the shit out of it and save the resin to smoke when Im out. Now obviously almost everyone here has a steady supply, but does anyone here smoke resin? Seems to be an old timer thing.
