Yes you read right. Haha i have a 2.5x4.5 foot closet that i cannot shut the door on and is difficult to keep environment steady. Question is if i put a 2x4 tent inside the closet, with a fan, ventilation exhaust, and run a duct from my AC vent inside the tent do you think itll be eaiser to control environment? At least this way i will be able to have a completely closed off area. Does anyone run a closet grow and can tell me is there any benefit to running tent over closet?

You can't shut the door because of too much heat building up or the door physically won't close like its broken? I have a 3x3 closet that I have run a 400watt hps in the past it worked fine. Are you worried about light leaks?

I mean the tent is easier to run an exaust vent and fan from where you'd have to cut a hole in the door and then an intake hole inside the closet so you are better off going with a tent I think. I've gotten away with no vents but I just ran in the winter and kept the heat on 63f or something and only shut the door for the most part when the light went off

I cant close it because i have 4" dryer duct running from the ceiling of my bedroom into the closet the door closes onto the duct so it stays open a few inches.

Could you supply some pics for us to look at, will make giving you some advice a bit easier. I've built my GR from scratch, got a few hacks that may help.

I actually went ahead and ran the duct through the wall of the closet so i now have AC in it! Temps go to 73° when the ac runs and when it shuts off it goes up to 79° within an hour. Is that fluctuation bad? Humidity is now staying between 50-60% consistent.

I like being in the low eighties but look at a vpd chart to figure out the proper temperature humidity combo. I don't think that's a bad fluctuation

Im trying to adjust the temp to get it consistent between 77 and 80. Around 45-50% humidity. If i dont run the AC duct in there itll get up to like 90 and very low humidity.

Do you have a thermostat? You can buy one that turns on a vent ant turns it off when it gets below 77 and turn it on at 80 idk about the air conditioner tho I just suck the air out my tent u can always add buckets of water wide and thin like aluminum baking pans etc so it evaporates.
