Hi guys,

I've been growing a Jack Herer auto and I'm worried that its growing very slow. Here's the breakdown:

3 gal Hempy bucket grow.
125 W CFL grow light (6500 K) positioned 3 -4 inches away.
Nutrients (ml/gal): GH Flrouroduo A 2.5 ml & B 1 ml, Calimagic 5 ml & RapidStart 2.5 ml.
PH is around 5.5 - 6.0.
I'm watering every other day and the leaves look dark green and healthy (no nute burn).

Its been 18 days since germination and my seedling is only 1.5 inches tall. I've read that by the third week the plant is usually 8 inches tall, shows sex and pre-flowering starts. I don't know if I'm being impatient or if I'm doing something wrong to stunt it.

I'm not a hempy guy but, from what I understand you should be watering a lot more? A pump a resivor and a timer, I'll get some hempy help for you. And move the light up a bit for the seedling stage maybe to 6-8 inches?

Ph looks good but as they dry out the ph swings, Teps will cause ph swings also?

Hi guys,
My stunted plant finally got some kind of boost a couple weeks ago. It isn't great but better than it was. It is now 10 inches tall at day 39....and just started pre-flowering over the weekend. Its still growing & I'm not expecting too much from it but keeping it as a learning experience.
I've looked in the forum but couldn't find a separate section/topic regarding light schedules. Does the lighting schedule matter during flowering for auto's? I'm planning to keep my flowering schedule as 18/6 to hopefully get a few more inches of height and bigger buds. I'm still feeding her veg nutes for now and might switch to flower nutes in a week.

There's not a lot of consensus on light schedule and how it impacts flowering or vegetative growth. The only thing that seems to be agreed is you should stick with whatever light schedule you start with to avoid stressing it.

I was under the presumption that when the plants start pre-flowering/flowering the light schedule is supposed to change to 12/12.
