Don't kill the pain, and, as often as not cause other potentially serious mischief. The last time I used them, I ended up in emergency with constipation. I never realized constipation could be that serious but it can. Instead of one source of debilitating pain, I then had two to deal with, both bad enough to completely prevent sleep. Drugs eh.

Opioids definitely cause that one not sure what they had you on....
