So I just applied LST to my Blueberry Auto. I'm assuming l did this correctly. She's 21 days old. How long she I keep her like this? I am just trying to expose more nodes to light for growth and rotate around the pot if I'm understanding everything right.

Personally, I also defoliate the big fans at the time I LST….that way the lowers are exposed to the light. Also, I don’t release the LST….and I do several rounds of defol. :pass:

I don't bend them much anymore, I find that a given plant will either give me a lot of smaller buds when I do, vs fewer but bigger buds when I don't. When I say "smaller" buds I don't mean tiny. Just smaller than huge. Ha! Of course every plant can be different.

I top, defoliate and stretch the canopy open with garden wire as they get taller.

Anyway, don't mean to confuse you. Your's looks good, and you waited a little to do it which is even better. I agree with Frank that if you're going to bend, remove some leaves that are blocking things.

As far as the milk crate, which is a great idea. I saw some rain science bags (I think it was theirs) with grommets installed around the edges. So I went and bought a grommet kit and DIY my fabric pots now. Works well for LST and for widening the canopy as the plant gets taller and taller. Good luck.

Hello i do top lst like to open the middle out so light goes from top to bottom that way you dont get buds that are ready and some that not
and it gives you a nice amount of air movement less chance of rot

Happy growing you know it makes sense :smoking: :smoking:

Hey bud, your bags would look nice with some grommets on them. Make lst so much easier, and you won't damage your bags.

You can use them on fabric, or like this Rain Science bag. You could even use for handles if wanted. Best thing I ever did!

Here is my current Mendel utilizing the grommets, once I think they are ready to boof out and up, the canopy widening and stretching begins so that the main colas push out to the outer edges, and the smaller stuff that was on the outer edges moves towards center, to get my tops as even as possible and the best light penetration. She's still a young lady at day 40, so she is only beginning her transformation. My grows always go at least 90 days. Lots more defoliation as she goes and I can clearly see what is what. So...no bending on her. Just a top early, then wait to see how she began to exhibit her stretch. Then widen her up with the grommets as she goes more vertical.

I DIY mine as mentioned. The grommet kit is like $12 and will do a LOT of bags for cheap. Plus I can put as many grommets as I like. Stole the idea, as mentioned, from Rain Science bags. Expensive enough hobby as it, at least for me. YMMV.

Ignore the Co2 bag. Dunno if it does a damn thing. I'm just superstitious at this point, and have to have one forever now.

Keep doing what you do and the plants will show you the way.
