Their soil is known to have high PPM runoff, especially the OF. I think its getting higher because micro organisms are breaking up the stuff the FF puts in the mix into available salts.

I've never checked my runoff in soil, but I will the next watering, so we can compare figures. I have 2 autos in Roots Lush (trying it out) and the rest in FFHF.

The condition of the plant is my primary indicator of what's going on. Yours look okay.

Wow!
I have never seen a tds reading that high, mine only goes to 5000 I think! Any chance the meter is just completely off? That is like 6-8x what a reasonable range would be, seems like the plants would really be unhappy if that is an accurate number. What conversation factor does that meter use?

Ya they look ok besides I fryd some leave putting my sonlipo 2000 at 18in...ya it's just weird it does that I'm going to run of one of my pots and see where that one is pure ro only at pH 7

Can you calibrate that meter, and do you have a TDS/PPM calibration solution to check the accuracy?

I had a meter similar to that one, and anytime PPM was over about 700, it would shoot to about 3000 PPM. I mean, it really wasn’t 3000, but the meter freaked out past a certain point. Calibration fluid confirmed it. Couldn’t calibrate it so I sent it back and got a more expensive one and turned out my PPM was really around 900.

You think this one is cool?

The second meter you posted looks like your original one, just rebranded. I’m sure others here can recommend a decent meter. Here is the one that I have. But I always recommend the calibration solution if for no other reason than to see if you’re getting an accurate read.
