This is what I got going on. I have a 2x2x4 tent, right now my lighting is 150W HPS, I wanna go with something else. Looking for the most light for less cost of electricity and heating issues.
Saw a LED, that has all light spectrums. The website is supergrowled.com. seemed decent. Any advice would be appreciated. Peace and one love:peace:

less cost mmmm your room is very under powered
180w blackstar min may be an option but its still an extra 30w
and spread may be a touch small

Hey hey brothaman. :smokebuds:

I would recommend checking out the Blackstar 240W LED (http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/featured-products/lighthouse-hydro-blackstar-240w-led-grow-light-uv.html) or the Blackstar Chrome 270W (http://www.gothamhydroponics.com/featured-products/lighthouse-hydro-blackstar-chrome-270w-led-grow-light-fsf.html).

Tons of folks on here (myself included) use the Blackstar 240W and have had great results with them. One would be sufficient for that space, although two would really beam your ladies nicely with photon love. That would run you around $550-$575 for two, maybe a little less if they make you a deal for buying two.

For less than the cost of two 240W's, you could own one Blackstar Chrome 270W (+/- $450). They have more PAR output than the 240W's and run much cooler. Here's the description of the Chrome:

"We are proud to introduce the 2013 Lighthouse Blackstar Chrome Series. The new Blackstar Chrome represents the most powerful and most energy efficient grow light in the world with no exceptions. Simply put, there is no light on the planet that will put out more PAR per dollar spent. Typical PAR output of the chrome series is 3X to 4X more than a comprable Blackstar (non-chrome) and up to 8X that of a typical Chinese LED light. The proof is on the thousands of forum postings on Blackstar lights.

Blackstar Chrome series lights are meant for the advanced grower and those who wish to use LED in conjunction with traditional HID (HPS & MH) lighting systems. Because of the patent pending lens system, penetration is increased, PAR is increased, and the ability to “back the light off” of the canopy is now possible. Don't be fooled by knockoff's that look similar because internally the chips and the lenses are NOT the same. These lights are ideal for plants that can utilize maximum PAR output. It is possible for these lights to produce too much PAR for some plants! For this reason the chrome is recommended for experienced growers who know their crop well.

The first Blackstar Chrome was created in June 2011 and we have been testing in actual growing environments ever since. Our Patent Pending lens design has evolved and has been continuing to evolve ever since. Essential oil production from plants that can tolerate the increased PAR is typically increased by 15-20% under the Blackstar Chrome. With over 5 years and tens of thousands of grows, the team at Lighthouse Hydro has developed the most advanced light, lens and beam angle combination of any lighting company. The wavelengths and LED chipsets used have been painstakingly refined to deliver the maximum yield for any gardening venture. The Blackstar Chrome was redesigned for maximum reliability. The chrome operates 30 degrees cooler than the previous Blackstar series."

I'm planning on snagging a Chrome 270W for my next lighting purchase. I think there are some folks around here who are running them. Might be worth looking into bro. I would definitely avoid cheap Chinese-made LED's at all costs. You get what you pay for.

Just my :2cents:.

Right on Kindred, will definitely check into that chrome series. A little expensive, haha gonna have to see what the old lady says. Luckily I gotta bday soon. Might need to just get the blackstar 240 for now and get the chrome at the beginning of the year.

Sorry just started thinking out loud, just started rambling.:booya: pretty toasted right now. Well that is the plan. Thanks a lot bro. Peace and one love:bong:

Yeah its a new tent and that is what it came with (150W) I have a 600 W but it gets way too hot and not trying to have my electricity shoot thru the roof ya know.
less cost mmmm your room is very under powered

yeah 600 is way way way to big
even 400 is to large 250w is about right
the lpw on a 150w hps is really bad even 250 are not that great but better
4sq ft /250 = 62.5 watts per sqft which is perfect factoring lpw efficiency
A 250w hps/t5 or 180-240w led would all be good in your setup and produce top yields

Appreciate your input agito. Much love to ya. For now though I gotta deal with using this 150W HPS for now. Got 2 plants right now. If I don't get the light when I want, just probably gonna have to grow one at a time

1 auto plant would do very well under that and still net you 2-3oz with few issues
just try and go for a shorter variety to fill out those lower branches or maybe top but it will take 2 weeks longer to finish

I thought topping autos was a NO NO. :bong:
If I keep the light lower they should come out shorter and bushier right? I wanna grow them both out don't wanna kill either one. Want to do these ladies right, much love. Thanks for your thoughts agitprop. One love to you and yours. :booya:

I believe it depends on the strain of autoflower in regards to topping... Please correct me if I'm wrong... And you could scrog em. If you got size limitations. Cheers and much luck:bong:
