Well I will have my blackstar 240W led in a week or two, curious if switching from my hps to the 240W will that affect my girls in a bad way. Much appreciated.:bong:

Real quick also, with winter coming am I gonna have cold problems in my tent since I hear leds dont give off much heat.

One love

I would expect at least a possible 3rd increase in yield vs a 250 never mind a 150w there pretty poor so maybe up to double the yield of your 150w hps (coming from a hps guy) i would maybe add a small cfl to complete the spectrum if you were fussed

The LED will not raise the temp by very much so you may find your growing area is pretty cool in winter. You could add a couple of cfl like agito says and it will add light and some heat to your grow space mate :smokebuds:

Yea agito I got some 6400k cfls from my grow box I was using that I'm going to rig somehow in there also. :smokebuds:

Thanks guys. Got cfls that I'm not using so I will put them to use.
Much respect fellows. Keep it growing.

use it as side lighting as you don't want it in the way of the led it will defeat the point or strap it to the sides of the panel :).
I dont think they will require that much extra spectrum just a taste should do it to fill in the gaps

:smokebuds:thanks agito. Its cool to throw some 2700s in there also.

what ever you want but i think the lower ones may have more spectrum but warms do well as well its quite alot of wattage for that space so get those plant numbers up to 4 in large pots and cover every inch of floor space with green will be the most important thing you do.

after using a ceramic metal halide for a while i highly recommend it. the plants love it right away. you only have to use one light for veg and flower and they make a 250w model. they run on a regular HPS ballast so you just need the ballast and bulb

they don't run in didgi's i might have bought one if the OP don't mind the diversion but what was it like vs a regular hps
