Hey guys,
So I moved to to Fairbanks Alaska last fall to do a gap year as a dog musher and am currently experiencing my first summer here. To me it seems like a great place to grow. If I start germination within 2 weeks the plants would get 22-24 hours of sunlight with humidity averaging in the low 60s.
I'm looking for someone to help me pick out seeds (was thinking lsd 25 and northern lights by fastbuds)
Then help build a good soil mixture recipe
Deal with Pest control
Dealing with PH swings
And finally nutrients.
To huave much to offer in return other then much gratitude and a free sled dog ride. Oh and you can namw the ladies as you please. Someone with patience would be nice but this late into the season I'll take what I can get.
Really appreciate anything you've got to offer.
By the way my name is Nathan.

I see others have already pointed you in the right direction.
One thing I can think of, having read a lot of Trail's journals, is your choice of strain.
FastBuds are in LA I think, and while they may say for outdoor,
I think you really need to consider finding a strain that is bred for cold climate.
Probably need to be very fast flowering, not too dense to avoid bud rot,
and of course able to handle the temps.
Maybe try Canadian breeders and some of the Scandinavian breeders may be of value, too.
I'm in the opposite climate, sub-tropical, but I know you need to find climate-specific strains.
Just a thought.
All the best!

Welcome :toke: You are definitely in @trailanimal climate zone, it's way different here at my end. I'll see if I can get him to check out your thread.:pass:
Much appreciated, this maybe a dumb question but should the soil I use be different than yours since we're in a different climate?
As tom sowell mentioned greenhouse seems pretty useful after looking up a couple of trailmasters grow journals. And after a quick Amazon search I found multiple options for under 100$.

Yeah they had written the info of lsd 25 as if it was chuck Norris. I mean they wrote it could handle ph swings, messed up feeding schedule, messed up light schedule, extreme temperate and basically everything stressful a noob might and probably would do. But I guess it's just a really good sales pitch.
Any company names or website references for the Canadian breeders?

No, not really. Just a matter of what is available to you. Greenhouse is a great idea I sure depend on mine

Do you build your own soil mixture or do go straight out the bag? was looking in to ocean forests since thats the only mj soil i saw at the local greenhouse but after a simple search learned they tend to be a little hot for autos. Problem is I don't know much about picking soil other then having it airy, NKP ratio and PH leval. Do you know any mixture that would be easy to find and be considered on the safe side for the ladies?

Haha! FastBuds' write-ups are a little bit too good. Some other breeders and seed banks are still way worse...
Though, in my sub-tropical zone, I can say I've had a few of theirs that handle heavy rain, fog, mist, humidity and more rain.
They survived, with a touch of the dreaded BR, but could have been a lot better with bright sun and no clouds.
Not sure about Canadian breeders, but like I said, go scope some of the journals by Jraven and TrailAnimal.
