Indoor Stone Dragons, Cream Caramel and a Lowryder

Whats up noods ive just started reading your thread bro and you have a pretty kickass setup I was just wondering how far did you keep.your cfls from.your plants at the flowering stage id sure apperciate the knowledge and yea those are some good looking girls from what ive seen so far I hope I have half the success you have had

Great shots Noods :dance2: I hear ya about having more space for your girls... I'm doubling my grow space just to accommodate 5 plants. But I plan on upping my pot size to 5 gallon pots instead of 1.5 hoping for a bigger yield. We'll see how it goes. Looking great bro :smokebuds:

:peace:

Ah no worries mate, I dont want to pry or anything.
At least you will have all that top class bud to tide you by...
I never had the feeling you were prying snooch. It's very cool. I just don't like talking about it, is all. :smokebuds:

Top class bud is right my friend! I'm feeling really, really good with it. And I got a lot... :head:

Hey Majorstoner, when you say "at the flowering stage", I guess you mean after they stop with vertical growth, right? Well, that depends on what my temps are like.
If it's a hot day and the temps inside start getting real high, I'll take her off of her little pedestal and the top will be about 12 - 15 cm, 4 and a half - 6 inches, from the lights. That's the two big bulbs right over her head, 325 watts.
When it's cooler in the tent, and the temps stay at a healthy ~27°, I'll raise her back up and have her about 7 - 9 cm, 3 inches, roughly, away.
You can get them in pretty close, but if the leaves touch the bulbs, they'll get burn spots and those spots will become necrotic and will not recover.

You can keep them in pretty close during the vegetative stage too, about three inches. But if you have the lumens, keeping them a little farther out could increase node spacing a bit and it's easier to catch that moment when the rapid growth starts. Then it's a race to keep them at that magic distance where the plant keeps working to reach the lights, stretching out those side branches, pushing up the top. Then it stops and you can snuggle them in close.
Thanks for reading through my thread, and I hope you stick around! :smokebuds:

Damn Rob! With lots of room and 5 gallon pots, the way you grow... I'm positive you're gonna have some kick ass yields!
Thanks for the compliments! :smokebuds:

SD2 Day 73...

I don't like that soggy cabbage stuff in the middle of the bunch of buds at the top of the plant. It makes me uneasy. I've heard of a dead leaf wreaking havoc in there because it started to rot...

So I pulled out the bottom four buds on the top to get air and light in there over the next 7 days. See the green bread bag ties? I just pulled them down and attached the other end to the airpot. Just a light tie-down thing. They were just right up in there real tight...

I wish I had grown this plant all by herself in my tent. She had to follow the pack and find her own space, with the others in there doing the same. Too bad she's just now getting the room she needed, so close to being put down.

i always pull lower buds out so they get light on them cause ive had buds look albino white near the stem from not getting light

never thought of a leaf molding and ruining a crop

sd#2 is looking so good bud

:drool:Pretty pretty, my my, your beautiful plants catch my eye.:D

They lookin' good my friend! Question..........whats MLFB?

Looking Great noods!! But there was never any doubt, and I can't imagine mold in your tent! But I know what you are saying. Just the thought of mites, or mold, at any stage in the grow sends shivers down my spine!! How long now before she comes down?

Spider mites terrify me. I've never had them myself but my friend in the uk is almost constantly battling them. I've seen mini spider webs on his buds before. Very sad to see because he's a really great grower.

Ditching that soggy leaf was a good idea man, I can't imagine mold being much fun to deal with.

Thanks TBM. :smokebuds:

Slitherly, it's supposedly the best portable vaporizer, so it's what I decided on. I'm in the process of convincing Miss Budgeting that it's a wise commodity... As long as the car doesn't need repairs or some sheet like that, I might get it in August.

6 more days insert. At the end of the 6th day.

Sorry to hear about your friend and the spider mites snooch. Damn!
Mite-Killer-Karma on the way for you to roll up in a fatty with him next time you see him... :wiz:
