The fourth node produces the best amount of colas. Best outcomes.

Too many colas = light distribution issues.

The plants get so heavy and thin stocked that they need creative measures to prolong and sustain the grow. So if you take your plants deep into amber, they get weak af.

They get stressed.
why top at the 4th node?

Just curious, you OBVIOUSLY know what you are doing.

Just wondering what the rhyme or reason is? (at the 4th)

Ive done branch topping at several different spots in years gone by, and find overall that the fourth node topping produces the best amount of branches for me(on pretty much every strain)...as you can see 4th node single stage topping produce some crazy thick branches by the end...the secondary branches are often very well formed as well.

Yeah light distribution issues will happen with 4th node topping too. Nature of the beast, when growing beasts LOL (for scale, the black thing on the right is a 45 gallon barrel cut in half)
