That was over a1per cent tax. Now we gladly give almost half our pay to the federal and state or provincial governments. Do you know Canada is nothing but a corporation for rich aristocrats in England. We had to send our premiere in 1980/81 to England to go to court to draft a constitution. Something similar to what the USA did in1776. 113 years after we become a so called Country. Heck Newfoundland did not join Canada untill the 1950's the English did not want to give up the richest fishing grounds in the world untill it was on the decline. They make it easy for politicians to get pensions so they obey the real people in power. Yes IAM a bit of a conspiracy nut. But I bet IAM more right then wrong.

And your a good person paying all those taxes so that I can sit on my ass at home growing weed and enjoying my Canada pension .
