Hello all new grower here so still learning I got 3 autos at 4 weeks atm the lights stands at 24/25 inches from top of canopy they don’t seem to be stretching so would this height be okay or shall I lower and does anyone know the latest preflowering starts with autos my grow nutrient states 1-2ml per litre for young plants and 3-4ml per litre for mature plants but unsure with autoflowers been giving em 1ml per litre atm they had two feeds atm when should I give plain water or keep watering with nutes sorry for all the questions got a lot to learn and prepared to listen and learn Cheers john
I've noticed there is nothing on the forum about terpenoids so thought I would throw up a little info from the web. Have you ever wondered how the strain Blue Dream can smell so similar to fresh blueberry doughnuts? Or how a sniff of the K.O. Kali-O seems to burst with citrus just like a California Orange? Yes, it is the cannabis. More specifically, what you are really smelling (and tasting) are terpenes. Terpenes are a large and varied class of hydrocarbons (made up of hydrogen and carbon), produced by a wide variety of plants and also, some insects. Terpenes are referred to as terpenoids when denatured by oxidation (like being dried and cured) or chemically altered by some rearrangement of the carbon skeleton. They are...
Was wondering thoughts on using well water on plants? I also have access to pond water as well. Will be using a soil/peat/perlite mix. I will be starting my first grow in next few weeks and trying to have everything planned out to the last detail before I start germination when seeds arrive. I will have my ph water tester tomorrow and can check levels then. Well is spring fed with no water softener.
I repost this as I now think I figured out why the P got so low. 1000 kg grass dry weight removed from the soil take away: 30kg Nitrogen(N) 3,5kg Phosphorus(P) 30kg Potassium(K) 4kg Sulfur(S) Or in grams 30'000g(N), 3'500g(P), 30'000g(K), 4'000g(S) Reduce it to a kilo dry weight grass we get 30g(N)-3,5g(P)-30g(K) and 4g(S) Most of us don't grow 1 kilo plants so let us do a final reduction to a 100g dry weight plant 3g(N)-0,35g(P)-3g(K) and 0.4g(S) that is what it takes to make 100 grams grass. These numbers are for grass(for horse and cows). Can this be useful when growing Cannabis if we adjust the numbers? Why do the P get so low? I think the answer is when harvesting grass you don’t remove the roots, so what ever is left of P...
I've been pondering this question. I have a bunch of auto seeds and I'm a noob-grower but I've seen several folks say that while noobs choose autos for their simplicity in lighting, they really aren't the best choice due to the fixed growing period and the likelyhood of messing things up and getting less yield than an experienced grower can. So I thought: if I planted a photo and thereafter took clones from it, would it be close to the speed of a 80-90 day auto?
I started my first grow in my basement in a tent but had some humidity/water problems so I moved the whole thing to an unused bedroom. My tent has been in there now for a few weeks and everything's going great except that my plant is busting out of the tent...it's at the tent walls, and it's getting close to the top. I started wondering; if I'm providing the proper humidity and temp for that bedroom then why use a tent at all? My exhaust only vents into the bedroom, I open the door every morning to get fresh air in but the rest of the time, it's closed. What are the pros and cons of not using a tent at this point? Do I even need an exhaust fan if I just use the bedroom? Just wondering out loud..could use some advice.
I THINK I'm ready to transplant to an Autopot...help.
I have one NL auto that I planted and she broke ground on the 24th of Sept which makes her 8 days old today. I noticed that her leaves are almost the width of the solo cup and decided to take a look and see if she's got roots yet and sure enough there is one root sticking out of the bottom hole of the cup about 3/8" It's time to transplant...right? I don't want a bunch of roots sticking out. So...I just want to get things straight in my head before taking the next step..this sort of snuck up on me. I water the destination container which is the Autopot until run-off. True? I water the solo cup until run off....true? Then do I wait until the next say or how long to transplant? I want the soil to be moist but not soggy...true? I'm...

90f

Still waiting for my new fan to arrive, my grow room 60x90x90 are 90f/32c, hoping to get the temp down to 80f as soon as I get the fan up and running. Girls are 4 weeks now and after topping at 5th node the Northern Lights are 12cm and the Royal Haze are 15cm tall. 2 x China LED, actual wattage are 32w each. 1 gallon pots, they are short but looks healthy. Hopefully lower the temp will make them grow faster ;)
I have a question about the whole PPM thing with nutes. I bought a PPM meter and have been checking my nute water. I keep it at betwen 600ppm and 800ppm as someone suggested. When I use GreenLeaf's Megacrop + Sweet Candy + Bud Explosion at 1/2 dose, it reads as about 700ppm. I was wondering this; my water has 150ppm to 200ppm anyway and so this figures into the PPM equation. Does that mean that I can actually up the nutes to 800-1000 because my water is supplying the other 200ppm? I guess I'm just not sure what it all means.
I am planning a continuous grow under 1 light. I will be running various autos. I will be using lst. Is 12 weeks from sprout to harvest a good generic timeline for planning? Im thinking starting 1 plant every 2 weeks. But thatd be EXTREMELY reliant on everything following that 12 week line almost perfect as my tent wont hold 6 flowering plants. Im ok with it being just a little early or just a little late. I guess the real question... Would the pros/experienced consider the 12th week of MOST autos within the harvest window? I know genetics and phenos wil vary... Thats why i am asking for a very generalized answer. Yes or no... And what week if not would be best to plan? Thanks in advance committing 1 crime to avoid commiting...
I have done my first topping but I have no clue if I did the cut at the right node. As I cut at 5th node I will get about 10 colas. What I want to ask is if there are any thumb rule for how many nodes/colas that os reccomended per liter soil? I guess a 10 liter pot handle a 10 colas better than a 2 liter pot
Hi all, as the title suggests...do you think there's an ideal amount of tops an autoflower should have before yield diminishes? For example, the reasons I ask is because I have never been able to achieve those big long 'donkey' colas that I see from so many growers on here, despite following the same regimes etc. Lighting is not my issue, nor is nutrients. Could be unstable temperatures (ranges from 22-26c), could be too much training, which I suspect... I have always trained (ponytailed from day 14, LST, leaf tucking, lollipopping) etc and have always endeavoured to get the maximum amount of tops per plant - sometimes this results in up to 12-18 small to medium 'dominant' colas - but none of these colas exceed, say, 4-5 inches in...
When do you top and at what node? How many times do you top? 1 time topped for 2 colas and then low stress train? 2 times topped for 4 colas and then low stress train or 3 times topped for 8 colas and low stress train? Also when do you defoliate and how much do you defoliate and do you only remove lower growth (lollipopping) or do you lollipop and remove some higher fan leaves for better light penetration or do you not lollipop and just remove leaves up top so the light can penetrate the lowers also?
hey guys, i just want to ask some stuff. i plan my next round with 3 Ladys: 2x Mephisto´s Sour Crack 1x Northern Cheese Haze as medium i coose Soil. I wanna use the bottom 50% BioBizz AllMix and the top 50% Bio Bizz LightMix i want to take BioNova SuperSoil Autoflower Mix when would you start feeding? i ust don´t want to stunt em beacuse of the nutrients I will place em under LED 20/4 anything what i have to look for? Greetings from oversea
What kind of training do you do to your autoflower plants? Do you top? Do you low stress train? Do you fim? Do you defoliate any leaves in veg or budding to allow light to lower branches or do you just let them grow natural? Read mixed reviews on training methods for autos and wanted to see what you all do to your autoflowering plants to get bigger yields? I have read high stress training such as topping or fimming or defoliating can slow down growth and be bad for autos? Or is this just a myth? I plan on only low stress training my plants this round on the autos. But might experiment with 1 plant to see if it yields better than her sister of the same strain.
As far as I have understood there is not wise to start the male and female at the same time when the goal is to make seeds because the pollen will be ready too early and the result will be a few seeds only. So I have read that males should be put in a darker and cooler place until the female have fatten up some and ready to be pollinated with several more seeds as a result. So the question heres is how many weeks into flowering should we wait until we introduce the male to the female?
I plan to cross my most Indica looking strain with my most Sativa looking, aim for 200 seeds or more and hopefully the Indica/Sativa cross give uniform F1 seeds to use for side by side grows. Want to test out some ideas to figure out the most ideal way to get big yields with few plants(better to have few plants if ever my grow get busted). So lets say I get 200 seeds, then I have seeds enough for 10 side by side grows with 16 pots each, calculating a 20% loss in weak or non sprouting seeds(20 - 20% = 16). So what do you suggest as side by side grow ideas to try out?
Resolva Natural Power Review (Thrips)
First grow and I discovered thrips a bit later than I would have liked... Panicked went to my grow shop they wanted £33 for pyrethrum and my lights would have to be off for 24 hours cost wasn't the issue it was lights off for 24 hours. Went to Wilko bought Resolva natural power after three treatments and pruning as well as a drought to kill off the larvae in the soil. All seem dead this morning plant has took a battering looks knackered. Just gave her a feed see how she is in a few hours but at the resolva works and it was £4.50 [emoji106] pics are before and after. Sent from my CUBOT MAX using Tapatalk
New to autos
Hey guys, Currently on my first Auto run, have had about 12 months indoors with photos prior to this. I'm just curious what sort of harvest I could possibly predict or expect from these size plants? And if I'm on the right track. They're white widow autoflowers, with possibly shady genetics no big name anyways. 3 plants looks like 2 phenos But one especially is an absolute beast, they're about 6 weeks from seed at the moment. And I have hammered this thing, I've topped it, broken main stem, defol you name it! It can't get enough. My setup for this grow is as follows. 3.5x3.5x6.5 (1x1x2m) Hlg 300 3000k at around 18 inches from canopy. Shitty extraction fans but I have a syscom twin controller for them that works really well. I have a...
Hi all, I am growing 2 strains of autoflowers, Purple Kush and Pineapple Express. Purple Kush are 22 days from seed and Pineapple Express 17 days from seed. The PK started to show preflowers/female hairs today (these are feminized but I am still looking for possible males and none yet [emoji846]). My question is with autos, when is it safe to continue LST training till? I am only bending, tying down, tucking and light defoliation of large fan leaves blocking light to bud sites, nothing more. Guess there are a limit for everything so having larger pots than the roots can use will be a waste of potsize, soil and space, I want to use the largest pots the plants can use to grow as large as possible, but not larger. What is the largest pot(soil) you ever had an autoflower rootbound and what strain was it?
When growing outdoor up north the autoflower doesn't start to flower after 3 weeks, it's obviously too cold at night so it takes some more weeks before they start to bloom. So what I want to try is to copy the nature in a grow tent by keeping the temperature down the first weeks from some days after the germination until they start to bloom, at the same time I'm gonna give the plants lots of light(but I need to avoid the high temp so I guess LED is the only option here) Low temp and high amount of lights is how to grow strong tomato plants, can it work for autoflowers so they grow strong and get deeper roots before they start to bloom? And how low temperatures can be used without giving the young plants irreparable damage? Can 60F/15C...
Hi, wasn't sure where to best ask my question so I'll try here. Up until now I have been using GroTek Ph test strips. I have recently purchased a Preciva PH test pen. I calibrated the test pen with solution provided @ 6.8 and 4.01. The problem is , my PH test strips are reading 6.0 and my PH pen is reading 7.3. Of the 2 , what one is likely more accurate ? And if I have been feeding my plants too high of PH for a long period of time can I just drop them to the proper PH or should I do it slowly ? Thanks.
Any pointers for me to help maximiz yield?
Im basically a newb grower all over again especially with autos. Im on day 32 from germ and day 9 since my girls have sexed. Im growing northern light autofem from vision seeds and auto purple from pyramid seeds. The pics r of one of the plants all r about the same. Im not sure what strain the pic is i forgot to label them when i put them in bigger bags. But feel free to critique and im up for any advice to maximize my yields here is my set up They r in a small basement and i mean small. I veged using a 1000w MH and switched to 1000w HPS when they showed sex. Temp is 84F when lights r on and 79F when off. The temps constantly stay there. I have a 6" vortex pulling air from upstairs and cooling mu air cooled hood and it is spitting...
Heyo Basically I'm searching a new auto strain Anyone knows some good yielding strains? From any seed Bank u know. Around 5/10€ each seed tho Preferably a sativa dom but if ya all know something indica XXL is fine too. i have a 5gal space bucket with 360WChinese UFO led (the actual draw is around 180 but got good results in the past) with mylar and side LEDs (2x10W) and 2 homemade carbon filter on the top of the lamp and on the pc ran My first grow was a quick one from rqs and got around 15g, I was a bit sad.. Then tried TD Dutch Passion's and something around 60/70 with mainlining but I want to try something new Sry for bad English and thx u all
White Widow auto and Newbie.
I was hoping for some help with this White Widow Auto. It is 5 weeks from sprout. It looks pretty healthy, although a few lower leaves showed a nitro deficiency so I added a bit a few days ago. Haven't noticed a change yet but I went easy. It's in Strawberry Fields potting soil so it had some notes. I've thought about repotting in case it's root bound. It's in a 10 x 8 x 8 pot and is 3' tall. Kind of sparse but healthy. It has a bit of smell to it but no flowering yet. Should I stick with veg nutes for now, or maybe combine. I'm planning on using Dr. Earth's liquid bloom but I do have Tiger Bloom as well. I hit it with seaweed extract every 2 weeks too. Any advice would be appreciated. This is my first attempt . Thanks.
My tent is in my spare bedroom. I am running a 315 cmh in a 2.5'×2.5'×5'. The temps right now are fine as the room is fed by the main ac. So its 71 to 73 in the room and 77ish in the tent. But winter... The room is on the main ac, so when i kick on the heat when temps drop how do i cool it? In the winter the room is the warmest since the door only opens and closes with me. The only thing in there is the tent and guest bed. How could i bring air in from outside without opening a window (since i turn off my exhaust at night and just run circulation) i dont want smellies getting to my very prohibition neighbors. Id assume during the day, closing the heat vent and opening a window would be fine, but i know i wont be up or remember at...
Yield per m2 solved?
Ive been questioning this metric for a while and while simply planning for 5-10% of stated yield/ m2 was acurate for per plant in my first run, i wanted to find a reasonably involved source... Royal queen seeds put up this graphic on their site detailing what plant counts/methods are considered for each plant count in that meter squared.... In the article the graphic is posted, they give a basic description of each style and (photo) veg/bloom time needed to get the results they claim. For my first grow i was told to take the 550/m2 and divide by 20 and 10... That my per plant yield would be between that (2 autos in a 1mx1m tent) I pulled 40 off one and 38 off the other... So 5-10% was accurate.... Sorta I made a lot of errors. Had...
Explanation: Photo Period Cannabis Plants: Photo Period Cannabis Plants flower typically when light levels reach or fall below 12 hours light / 12 hours dark (For Sativas) and 14 Hours Light and 10 hours dark (For Indicas). Most of the well known varieties of Cannabis found around the planet today are Photoperiod Strains of Cannabis. Examples: Northern Lights, Skunk, Silver Haze, etc. Vegetative lighting for photoperiod Cannabis Plants is typically 18 light/6 hours dark which keeps them in a perpetual Veg state (not flowering). Light Sensitive Cannabis Plants: Light Sensitive Cannabis Plants typically flower when the Light Levels they were used to in the Vegetative Stage start to dwindle and don't neccesarily require the...
Faded187 fim instructional
I been asked many times to give fim advice so I figure I just post how I do because I think some people are cutting off too much and stunting their plants. you no need to cut off that much. I don't recommend new growers to try unless they have a spare. in case shit goes wrong.know what im sayin. ok first she is 15 days today and on her 4th node.here is the tools your gonna need. ok now see she on her 4th node. you can barely see the crotchs of 4th node. now use your finger tips to fold down leaves, like they were set of lips, so you can get the tip of plant up and leaves folded so crotches show like this. and this is top pic before the cut. now I have to start new post because only 5 pics allowed.
