Wassup peeps and peepettes?!?!
Just wanted to drop in and say hey and ramble a bit.
@Damien50 has rounded up a team of afn peeps to tackle the new blog system and we’ve been lucky enough to have the chance to get involved.
I myself luv the blogs, there’s a lot of neat options that give the creator types out there a bit more control over how everything is recorded and presented.
they can be a bit intimidating tho and that’s been one of the groups missions, help create a guide to get people going with their own blogs if they so desire.
getting started creating organized simple blogs doesn’t have to be complicated at all, tho there are lots of options to explore.
the purpose of this little intro quick start up I want to share is to help other peeps get started creating blogs in an organized, simple fashion.
I don’t go into many details about peripheral options, we just get straight to cranking out blogs.
Check it out if you have the time and inclination, this is about the simplest approach and definitely has helped me keep track of a few different blogs and lots of entries and pages.
as a bonus there should be a link at the end of that intro that leads to the blog we actually created during the guide! So meta, blogception!
Intro to the afn blogs

man, since we are here might as well kick back and start decorating this little space.
I’ll periodically add pages to spruce up this blog entry, I’ll drop in random grow pics, tips and tricks, etc.

I do hope that other peeps will try and enjoy the blogs as much as we do.
I myself prefer them hands down to journals now, the organization options and presentation is just way cooler imo.

Intro to AFN Blogs

couldnt help another quick plug lol.
thanks for checking this out and hope to catch you all in the forums and chat!
A big shout out to @Damien50 for heading up the task force.
virtual fist bumps to the other guys and gals helping out as well
teamwork makes the dream work.

Getting ready for a drop

Just wanted to toss out some stuff to start populating this here blog entry!
although I will include pics of current grows I won’t be going in to any sort of detail here as most of them are being covered in their own specific blogs.
If ya ever do see something and ya wanna comment or ask questions, give me a shout!

let’s start off with a couple shots of a bit of my garden workspace.
Ive been gettin pots ready and nutes lined up, well, honestly I’m always gettin stuff ready lol. That’s the life of the perpetual grower I guess.
We will be finishing up a round of water only grows here at the end of January so we’ve started planning the next round.
coincidentally the next round of seeds just popped this weekend so good thing the plan is taking shape lol.
I will be using/reusing coco loco and the next 4 plants are all going to be in 2gal rootbuilder pots. They’re cheaper airpot knockoffs and I luv them! Way better for my style of growing than fabric by a long shot.
I will be actively feeding the plants this round and will be using Greenleaf’s lineup, focusing mainly on megacrop and then bud explosion. Weekly recharge feeds are in the mix of course, tho I might actually just do a weekly tea and add the recharge to that.
bottomfeeds of course and this new round will be gettin trained.
when I’m done I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t a lifetime movie about the horror these plants are going to endure lol. Gonna be good times.

Plan of attack

Heya peeps and peepettes!
Just wanted to start up a little page to ramble about the plan of attack with this newest round of grows.
I had mentioned earlier that I am currently finishing up a supersoil type water only grow with no training.
it’s been a very lazy grow and I’m honestly more pleased than displeased but I’m ready to switch it up a bit again.
I am reusing some coco loco and will be actively feeding the plants during the grow.
the other big change is that I will be training this round. I think I much prefer a trained plant.
Anywho, I’m trying something different and I’ve planted the seedlings off center in the pot.
I’m hoping this will allow me to do a bend that other bends talk about in awe lol.
ive got a definite idea in my mind of how I think it’ll go down but I’m also prepared to fall flat on my face.
Ive already started in on the training on one of the seedlings. Started on day 9 as the seedling in question is a heffer and might already be strong enough for the early start.
we shall see!
I’ll add pics as the seedlings start hopefully adapting to the training.
here’s one of auto bubble to get us started.

Is there any way to change the order of entries? I'd like to move #1 to the top
Blog
Ya know I’m not rightly sure!
The way I use blog entries I’ve never really considered their “order”. Each blog entry is basically its own contained entity and then pages is where I would be more concerned about order.
now I do think there might be an option to “pin” your blog entry, that could put the one you want up top maybe

I'm looking at the "entries" as chapters in a book- thus the desire for Chronological order. Worst case I can delete that one then add it in new.

I think that’s pribs how they’re intended.
after looking back thru em real quick it looks like there’s no real option to index the Blog series like you can index the Pages.
there is the Pin option and another option to Change Dates on the Blog Entry which might be a workaround as well!

It’s not the answer you’re looking for but I’ll offer up this alternative approach to the entire blog system.
the Blog itself isn’t the book, it’s more like the Library where the books are going to reside.
Blog Entries then become the actual books and Pages are both The chapters and pages of that book.
with the ability to index the pages you can set up some pretty visually neat page layouts.
unfortunately it doesn’t appear that you have the same capability on the Blog level tho.

Have you seen the bigger comprehensive blog guide?
there might be something in there that will work as well!
