Mephisto + Cultured Biologix

Ok hoping to figure this out sooner than later but for now we’ll add an entry to make sure I am doing this process correctly! 1st up are 2 from the batch of seeds I ordered Black Friday! This grow may wind up being experimental in nature since I am swapping to cultured biologix sample pack I grabbed for $7! Have been using Nectar for the gods but seen as I bought good (supposedly living) soil I am thinking the burnt tops I gave my plants (and supposed to be hard to burn with nftg) but I think trying to chase my ppm to get into the 300-500ppm zone nectar calls for overdosed my plants since my soil + the extra microbes I add winds up buffering my soil well enough it’s really hard to build up excessive ppm’s without hitting em harder than necessary with nutes! Hoping their stuff that gets used once a week will be gentler on the plants but give em the lil extra boost that topdressing compost etc would do! Got an order in to build a soil for really good stuff + craft blend! Hopefully just amending with the craft blend stuff will make it to where biologix sample doesn’t need to be used but their in case! Only on Day 8ish I think (3rd round since Sept so stopped counting) but not much to share in pic as far as size but do have an interesting 1 going with the D.G.! Hopefully it survives and thrives!......

Gonna try to move all activity here since 3-4 diff journals really doesn’t make sense to try to keep up with so hopefully I figure out this whole blog process!
Also here’s the $7 sample I got of cultured biologix to give a whirl!
I will say this.... IT IS NICE TO HAVE A NUTRIENT FINALLY where I can mix up a full gallon and just shake up and use when needed whereas nectar was all about fractions and making only what u need so doing 6 diff nutes plus ph up every 2 days was starting to make me loco so break from it will be nice!

Alrighty as this grow moves along I am hoping to get this process down for adding to this blog and it being understandable instead of 1 long rambling journal in blog form! I added a page (TO WRONG SECTION OF BLOG)
so now I am having to add this update so as to move other to where it belongs! Since only been 1 day not any difference yet but still this is what I’m working with.....

And this is so far 1 GRRRRREATTTT thing about cultured biologix stuff.....
It’s ph balanced so add 1/4 tbsp to 32oz water and can let it sit and use as needed! No way in hell to do that with nectar for the gods stuff so math skills had to always be on point! This just shake before feed and let em have it! Easy Peasy!!

So I’m back to update the 1st round of Mephisto ladies I’m finally privileged enough to grow! I realize not much happening in only 48hrs but they are getting ready to be moved to final home in the 3gal Radicle bags I snagged to try out! Similar to Rootmakers Rootbuilder pots but only 1/2 price! Almost like a flexible plastic so roots can breath and also keeps soil from staying soggy for 5 days! YES does mean more watering but since I have living soil and gonna see after using Biologix rooting agent I’m not planning to use any nutes unless absolutely necessary (or if I get chosen to try new nute looking for testers) but I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it!

Came into this world as a tri leafer but can’t tell if it’s grown outta that phase or gonna stay that way til the end?!? Either way it’ll be interesting 1!

So uhhhh ya this foliage spray was only nutrient I was gonna give these little ladies but after this nonsense I’m gonna say 0 nutes and let them go full organic! Have good living soil and all the diff nutrient/mineral powders needed to make up fresh living soil so I can amend them with anything they are lacking and also got the stuff to finally start making some teas for em! It does seem (TO ME ANYWAYS) that my tri leaf double grape has started mutating back into normal mode now! Gonna be weird with 3 satellite branches coming off 1st set of single leafs so we’ll see how it turns out! ‘‘Tis New Year’s Eve and spent all morning trimming 1st plant! Surprised she went from a hot mess to 51grams dried + a few bowls I tested outta it so don’t have much to say now! Just on with the pics I am thinking!

Ok so this has now officially become Mephisto MINUS THE CULTURED BIOLOGIX! I did 4 days of their Dr Root stuff but after a less than 25% solution burnt my plants up I decided these are gonna be my 1st that I’m not using bottled nutrients on! Pink Panama plant is in some real primo local pumpkin soil and my Double grape is in old soil totally reamended with all the good stuff! It’s either down to earth brand on seabird poo 0-11-0 stuff but rest is either my local shops top shelf or it’s from build a soil if he was out! Gonna just use my cover crop/ stuff for teas and got big bag of Bu’s topshelf compost stuff and my local place gives me free worm castings out his bin with beneficial insects inside that stuff so not sure when I’ll get brave enough to topdress with them! All things considered for 21 days n only 4 days of 25% root drench they were growing out the bottom of both solo cups and 1 had extra roots that had broke off n been replaced back in its underside drain cup! So both moving along and pleasantly surprising me so far! @hecno or @MrOldBoy u are the 2 wise organic gurus I turn to here! These looking good for basically 0 nutes (damn close enough) and 21 days? I got the stuff to make some veg teas for them soon cuz flower tea was appreciated by the older 3!

1 satellite was disproportionate to the rest so did some manipulation so could get some light to it and the ring of 3 arms at the bottom from before it morphed back! Also mad props too the makers cuz these radicle bags are dope too! Can tell roots expanding greatly since transplants! Last couple days started moving! Also nice they fit into my tent n not bedroom closet! :smoking:

After 1 dose of the foliar spray I officially decided the good soil was gonna get put to the test with no nutrients out of a bottle/pouch! Just amending soil using some home brewed teas! We are now officially at the end of week 4 and going strong with just plain spring water out of a jug with recharge added once a week! Double grape is still showing some tri leaf traits but moved from main stem to the lowest satellite branches! Should just give me an extra bud or 2 and extra trim to go in the edibles! Mmmm mmmm good! :smoking:

So I realized I’m not too talkative as it seems I never really have much to say in order to fill up a whole blog page! Think I’ll go to journal format again next run! I have already chopped/dried and been curing Pink Panama since 3/6 so should start having good flavor n smell back soon! Can def see smaller harvest not using bottled nutes but seems like cleaner product so def plus since I just grow for myself! Pink Panama was chopped day 72

And here is Double grape today on day 91! It’s got maybe 5-7 days left and since almost all of the purple in the buds and 100% of it in the leafs crept in last night at the same time should be pretty close on my guesstimate for finishing time!



Will be back and will update final results from double grape! My rh was getting waaaay too high and caused it to foxtail the buds but sure didn’t affect the level of frost on this baby!:smoking:
