I checked the weight of the pot today and it was noticeably lighter. I watered with the 6-11 boost solution after mixing 2 teaspoons ROGrow and 3 teaspoons ROBloom into topsoil. Decided to lay off of LST for a few days. I am hand separating leaves to allow light into the plant where some buds are seeking the light. LOL. I turned off the vertical fan and one of the 6-inch fans. I will turn it on again, just didn't want too much wind all day. I was not maintaining light distance. Plan to increase the wattage to full in 2 weeks, I think.24" X 75% X 900.Watching for gnats after feeding and providing a boost solution and HP spray on the soil.

I am surprised the moisture meter is showing low water already. I am planning to water with a solution of 4 tbsp Mosquito Bits to 1 gal of water today after I recheck moisture. This is my plain water turn. The bits need to soak for 30 minutes, then remove. I am hoping this late in will be the only treatment I need although another is recommended in 3 weeks. 7Yellowing leaves. She got pretty fry but no wilt. I watered thoroughly with the most recent boost solution. I made it stronger than usual for the last weeks. I asked, and thanks all for the help, but was told the plant actually looks very good with only a slight deficiency. I have been mixing an organic product with the GH advanced products to serve as a boost. I need to do better documenting of ingredients and stage them. I know they can vary by strain requirements but I want to dial in a nute schedule that generally works throughout each week's needs. Also, I apologize for having missed some entries by not saving them correctly..5 g19" X 85% X ?Waiting overnight to look at leaves that have yellowed. Will snip them if continuing to yellow.

Week 812
13Oh My! Week 8! I watered 2 times plain water after a mild feed solution with Liquid Seaweed and GH Advanced Products in week 7. I am feeding with RO Bloom Terp Tea tomorrow. The Terp Tea runs 2-3 weeks. This with plain water twice. During Bloom, I will apply GH base and advanced products targeting bloom and ripening. I don't want to overdo it but thinking a heavier load is needed now. I need to remember we are coming up on 70 days, week 10. I am really curious to see the GH Advanced Products that benefit the organic properties of RO Bloom work together. A new spreadsheet will capture weekly feed recipes going forward.... Critical Purple next. Someone mentioned 'dialing in' to get feeding and environment working in sync. That is what I am getting more interested in.
14
15Added and watered with plain water RO Bloom. I felt like I can see the buds fattening or bulking up a little. This is the focus of feeding for now. Lots of bud sites that need to get fat. I removed all of the LST clips and wires. The plant has mostly taken the shape it will keep more or less. I still have lots of leaves on the plant. The yellowing I mentioned continues but not in an alarming way. I took 3-5 sets of leaves I found dried out or yellowing under the canopy. I don't take more than that and never have trimmed green leaves. My phone died, pictures after charging.
16
17Plain water today @ PH 6.3 I did not measure run-off. I should. Especially during / after bloom transition.5
18
Week 919Watered Am I losing count on water?.5
Day 5820That water from yesterday is mostly gone. I am not running much through on nutrition. Just the RO feed and watering with light GH micro, bloom, koolbloom and ripen. The RO Bloom should feed for 2 weeks at 3 teaspoons. The solution I am adding holds like 2 ml Bloom and the Ripen I am hoping for bulk. I think it is also a pre-flush. I am not concerned with flushing short of timing using the nutrients up. I have the Kleen product more for soil reuse so can do it anytime.. This feels close 11 weeks. 11 should be dark time.
21I think I figured something out. I am watching the pistils turn inward and amber. Then looking at Trichomes for cloudy then 20-30% amber. (THC degrades further during cure so maybe include this in calculations.) I have two deficiencies. One, I think is light bleaching. The other I am not sure. Something bothering me has been yellowing leaves. I am realizing the plant is nearing the end of bloom so I started thinking this is where she steals nutrients from fan leaves to throw to the buds. I am getting a microscope for the phone to monitor trichome maturity. I believe I am flushing from here. I repeat, not to influence the weed, but to clean up the soil for reuse..5
22
23I watered to 35% runoff 3 ML Liquid Seaweed and 5 ML GH Kleen. To 1 gallon water. I ran the whole gallon through the pot and test run-off PH @5.72. The solution measured 6.3 going in. I tied down a few colas to expose light to the entire stem. I removed damaged leaves and some yellowing. LOL > I saved the stems for the new infuzer on the way to mix with the trim when we get there.
24
25
Week 1026Running a gallon of water with 4ml Kelp and PH 6.3, PPM 200. Then measuring runoff to see if pot ppm gets lower from feeding and washing away. ph6.5, ppm 1100. No change. Nothing to do but watching bud size and trichomes.
27
28Found some ambers but overall they are not consistent across the plant. She's ready to water again. LOL She was ready last night. I am going to give her .5 g with kelp and HP and maybe some aroma / taste adds.
29
30I'm letting her go into week 11. I am partly cloudy. I started peeling the buds open a little to snap pics of the calyxes. They are close to cloudy mostly. I see some nodules that remind me of what I thought would be hermi pods. It is pretty late into the grow so I am hoping it is something normal. Each has 2 pistils coming out. I think I have pics. The pics are blurry. Antway I also tied all the tall colas down to open the canopy. The longest I hope to leave the plant is Wednesday or Thursday. I will get another pic with the microscope of the questionable.

6/12 OK. I decided to journal my first attempt Gorilla Glue. It is just over 3 weeks above ground. I had an early issue of too much light and some overwatering. The plant fell over and I used a pipe cleaner to hold her upright. The plant is only 6-8 " tall and I was running lights at 16." I was reading about stretch and decided that I would add boost or performance nutes Silica, Cal Mag, Liquid Seaweed, GH Rapid Start, Floralicious over nutrient top apply Roots Organic Uprising Grow, 1-teaspoon.

I was reading this week is a crucial week for the plant as it transitions from seedling to juvenile. Probably why I am nervous adding.

The meter readings are just that > What I see. I have a 3 in 1 soil tester and PH / EC meters. I also have a basic NPK soil testing kit. I've been able to maintain 6.3 to 6.5 PH so far.

Today I have to PH the performance adds before adding. I am adding 1 teaspoon Root Organics Grow into the top of the soil before watering. The soil being layered Happy Frog with a 21 day load and Roots Organics Greenfields has a 28-day load. (I don't think layering was my brightest idea.)

Long story short, I am doing the first fertilization. Concerned I may be a week early but I am also almost into week 4.

Just a comment: I started a Tangerine Dream that is just languishing in the medium. It does not appear to have died. The taproot is growing very slowly. It has not broken ground in 10 days. I am writing her off but keeping her watered. I also started a Critical Purple... I may record a journal on this as well. Just getting used to things up here.

Screwed up today. Added 250 ML of Armor SI 1.5, Cal Mag 1, Rapid Start 1, Floralicious 1, Liquid Seaweed and forgot to PH it after telling myself to do it first thing today. I down ph'd immediately to finish watering with 6.2 PH.
My PH meter is reading close to 8 after 750 ml of PH 6.2. The runoff is like 5.5 but the meter still reads high just sticking it in the soil. I reed the soil can lower the ph and this is what I was seeing previously. Need pictures today to compare over next few days. Note: Started with Distilled Water from the store which I usually PH down a bit to 6.3 normally.

This is my first feeding in soil that started with a 21 day load. Could it be the PH is rising due to a lack of nutrients? Yes, I put in two cups of liquid at 8 and followed with 4 cups at 6.2 PH.

Started LST. For some reason, I feel like I am a week behind on my first grow. The stems of the plant when from wobbly to strong in no time. Only Bend is in the third 'node' length... (I guess) I tried pip cleaners but because I offset the plant to lean it, the pipefitters are short. LOL. Prior efforts and the plant just yanked anchors out of the ground. This tim I used wire and went deep. I'll start on the big leaves in a couple of days just to open up the new.

My issues from yesterday may have been faulty equipment or I corrected in time. PH tested 6.0 with an actual soil / PH solution test. It does incorporate barium sulphate I think to help particles settle and clear to read results.

snaggit edit 6-15.jpg

Added a 2nd wire to reinforce the first anchor. Added a clip to a leaf to move it. I bought a bag of clips and should have known I could make do without. Will try a couple more tomorrow.

Considering I watered enough to get some runoff she drank it up pretty well. I was plus 8 or overwatered yesterday and down to 6 where I like it today.

The only issue was a small one today. I don't like the humidifier I have. The VIVOSUN Cool Air humidifier has a hard time with the remote not being sensitive enough to adjustments. I listen for the sound cues and have to try multiple presses on the remote to hear the cues. Today the humidity was way high and billowing clouds of mist. The plant was drenched. Got adjusted correctly and everything is back in line.

Last feed is still showing plenty of moisture over last 4 days. I get concerned reading how much water other grows drink up and this one always seems to stretch through the planned watering. I had hoped to add the Bloom side sometime in week 5.

Also, I tend to lean toward allowing the plant to use up the moisture before watering again. I read GG is a lush for nutrition but I prefer coming at this first grow from a less is more perspective.

I plan my next feed to switch to a top dressing of RO Bloom Terp Tea. At this rate is maybe approaching week 6 before it happens. Note: I am also using GH advanced nutrients for aroma, weight, etc with my waterings. So I am getting some bloom assistance prior to next feed.

I am posting this pic because I just think this girl is amazing.... First Grow, so I will learn they are all amazing. The pic above is from 6 AM This one at 6 PM, about. All the clips are covered now.

Crushed a single gnat. Looked like a fungus gnat. It was in a dry pot with a small peat pot holding a new tangerine dream seedling. I was thinking it came from this pot with the gorilla glue.

Also I have done what I am thinking is a lot of LST for such a small plant. The canopy measures about 8 inches high at 5 weeks.

Also, most main branches are hitting the pots edge now. Main Cola is leaning furthest on the left. I am wondering if I am overdoing it.

Excellent spreadsheet setup! I'll have to find a minute to read throug this blog but looks like you're doing a great job growing and keeping track.

Excellent spreadsheet setup! I'll have to find a minute to read throug this blog but looks like you're doing a great job growing and keeping track.

Thanks. This is my first grow. Still learning how to track and document. Trying to solve the gnat issue with hydrogen peroxide. I don't see foaming when I treat. My solution is 4:1 water to HP. I did find another gnat on some paper when I took the plant out to treat. So I think this is my source of the problem. I decided to turn off the humidifier for now as well. Added sticky paper to watch. I need this plant to dry out several days then water with the HP.

I too am currently battling fungus gnats! haha! I highly recommend any BTI product. It's a soil bacterium that kills fungus gnat larvae. It's the same stuff mosquito dunks are made from. I'd suggest the product im using but their website is down. Gnatrol BTI

LOL. I read your issue earlier and went after the gnatrol. They are having packaging issues, maybe smaller bags before they come again. I actually ordered the mosquito bti but canceled when I read about the HP. I have it on an order now if the HP does not help. So, I should thank you for your help in your entries. This pic better represents the lst and main cola.

Lights out. Soil is pretty dry on top. The pot is weighty. I need to weigh one I have dry outside to learn how to water more effectively. Carefully. Finding a few gnats on the tape laying in the pot. I found some spray bottles with various ratios for mixing solutions. The HP 4:1 ratio makes this some easy mixing. I will go for about 830 ml 4:1 HP 1ML Rapid Start, Floralicious 1ml, flora nectar 1ml, Diamond nectar 2ml Next week, week 6, I will do 2 tsp ROG to 3 tsp ROB. I am cutting back on the LST and only looking for exposing new growth and general lighting availability. I was looking into trimming because she is so compact, but for now I am looking for damaged leaves only. My old hands having crushed some tiny growth over the LST work. You can see on the tape lying in the pot the very tiny gnats. Big ones are few. Hopefully, the HP will correct but ready to press the order button on the bti product.

20210626_004533.jpg

Let her dry out pretty good. No gnats seen. The solution used was a boost including Liquid Seaweed, Rapid Start, FloraLicious, Diamond nectar and flora nectar. I varied dosing based on how I felt things are going but I do know and track what I am doing for more precision on my second grow. The second looks to be Tangerine D

ream.
I spun her around to get some light focused on smaller grow areas. Also: I added RO Grow uprising and RO Bloom Terp Tea. 2:3. I found a few damaged leaves. Damaged from my fumbling fingers with the LST. (Arthritis :watering:)

Can I just let her go now? I want to redo some of the clips. Remove some, I think. I am 'guessing' the LST has changed how the branching is shaping up. Can I or should I remove some clips to allow stems to fatten? I never thought to ask into this.

Wondering what to expect from here? She needs some real expansion here. She is not looking very full right now. I think there are 12 bud sights? Not sure what to look for.

Also considering if I should foliar spray. Been thinking about why if the undersoil activity is working?

I think the plant looks really healthy. I don't think you'd need any foliar sprays. I don't remove LST clips/straps. Once they are on I just leave them until the end. Unless they are super tight and crushing a stem the plant will work around them.

I think just let it grow from here? 12 sites that might be nice large focused buds isn't bad.

Yellowing leaf. I think it is a 2nd set leaf from the bottom of the stem. I am guessing Nitrogen-deficient or it is just time for this one to go. See 2 pics:
20210630_114008.jpg

20210630_114005.jpg

She looks OK, although I might practice creating an even canopy. The yellowing leaf went south so I snipped. I found two damaged leaves from my LST beginnings and clipped them. I'm looking for leaf tucking opportunities to open up smaller bud sites to get more light. My light is at 85% (TS1000) and 19" or so. I am PHing to max nitrogen absorption.

View attachment 1339960

See the Yellowing? I inquired about it but folks think she is looking pretty good. I let it dry down and watered /boosted today. I was concerned about nitrogen deficiency but the canopy is still dark green. I plan to increase nutrition for these weeks 8-10. I will find a bloom boost amendment for the end. That or switch to GH Bloom and use Roots Organic Terp Tea as boost for blooms. I've started studying ingredients in all the bottles and bags I have and will start crunching numbers to achieve balanced feeds with boosts. Thinking the rest of the grow should be ph'd toward PK uptake. Instead of 6.3 I could go 6.6 = 6.8.
