First Grow of 2022 - Double Grape (Auto) & O.G. Kush (Auto)

This is my first Autoflower grow and my second grow overall.

This run is Mephisto Double Grape and Seedstockers O.G. Kush (Auto).

I planted the seeds in the soil on 12/29/21 to see if that would work without germinating first. I'm using tall 5-gallons fabric pots with a mixture of FFHF, FFOF, Brut Super Soil, and a mix of vermiculite and perlite. I made a fist-size pit in the center of the pots and sprinkled Great White all around then added in a handful of seeding mix with a little more Great White. I dampened the center area with a light mix of Tribus, MSA, and Mr. Fulvic. Before that, I dampened the soil to ideal conditions to set up my BluMat Moisture meters.

Today, I added in the BluMat carrots. One carrot goes deep and feeds 3 additional drippers. On a separate waterline, I have 1 ea of the shorter carrots to water at the stem.

See my attached photo for more details.

End of Day 24 - Stats

As I mentioned earlier, this is the new (more streamlined) data set for the remainder of this grow.

Also, starting tomorrow, there are no longer 2 reports a day. Depending on my schedule, I will either post the AM or PM status (no longer both).

Today was mostly uneventful, other than more tucking and tieing down branches on the OGK. As of today, the Double Grape doesn't require wires, just leaf tucking.

I'm am noticing more "burning" on the leaves. I am running the noots pretty hot. Tonight, I'll try to get the PPM's back into the 500s.

Day 25 - Stats & Notes

BluMats are feeding well. If I don't turn down the nutes the OGK is going to suffer.

Day 26 - "Habbinings"

I continue to give the middle finger to Autoflower rules about "messing" with it too much ... limited lifespan and all.

Yield may suffer some, but that's ok too. The fan leaves on the O.G. Kush were jungle size, making them too problematic to tuck.

Plus, if you look close I may have "missed" on my FIM. That's a double miss.

The FIM'd leaves are trying to grow back out. Someone let me know if that grow back is typical.

Day 27 (PM) - Discipline Day (1 of 2)

Today, I added this tie-down support to O.G. Kush. I've ripped and stripped all that she deserves. At least now, any potential bud sites are going to get direct lighting.

Thanks, I like the idea and interested in seeing how your plant handles the ring as it stretches'

This is my first time trying this ring, so I am happy to show the "Good, Bad & Ugly" as it continues.

I keep hearing about this stretch, but I must be stunting my plants, because my first run (last run) nothing got higher than 10 inches. Yet, I harvested a 1/4 pound from the 4 White Widows.

Growing these lovely plants is becoming a sport.

Day 29 (AM) - Notes:

Yesterday (28th), I diluted my reservoir down to 600-ish PPM, and then added back in a P-K booster. The solution leveled off at about 750 ppm. I corrected the pH to 6.35 (or so).

Something I forget to mention is that everyday I give a very light foliar "mist" of this product below:

Micro.png

According to the label:

  • MicroGenics 0.75% is an easy to use foliar applied fertilizer. Simply squeeze the bottle to the appropriate amount needed to use in your foliar application. MicroGenics 0.75% is complexed with amino acids, so it is EDTA free and allows for quick and healthy uptake of nutrients in plants.
  • Complexed with amino acids
  • EDTA free
  • Contains macronutrients and micronutrients
  • Nutrients move throughout the plant
  • Guaranteed analysis of .75% Magnesium, .75% Manganese, .75% Zinc, .75% Copper, .75% Boron, .75% Nickel and .75% Iron

When the flowers become more prominent, I'll cut back on the misting globally and do so in a more targeted fashion.

Day 30 (PM) Stats:

Double Grape must have had a big lunch because when I checked the water pressure this morning it was a bone dry 227 mB, and this evening it was 50.

Similar with OGK, this morning at 133, and this evening 36.

I lowered the reservoir from 837 to 580 through dilution. Once a couple more gallons is gone from the tank, I will switch into my Bloom mode with a new formula of:

1) 2.0 grams - Jack Part A

2) 2.0 grams - Jack Part B

3) 2.0 grams - Mag/Sulfate

4) 1.2 grams - M-K-P

Day 34 (PM) - Notes (Day Late)

I couldn't help myself, I went after the Kush like Edward Scissorhands. It just got so darn bushy. We'll see if I set it back.

The Double Grape got its first real trim and it is showing flowering pistils much more than the Kush.

I may need to do a run of photoperiods next. We'll see.

After changing to more of a Boost Recipe (p/g):

1) 2g Jack's A

2) 2g Jack's B

3) 2g Epsom

4) 1.2 M-K-P

My rez jumped over 900 ppm, so I toned it down with RO water. I'll put the new numbers up later.

One thing is for sure, they are drinking (eating) like crazy. I bet they went through almost 2 gallons (2 plants) yesterday.
