This journal is going to follow along with a freebie strain I got about a year ago or more now when I ordered with them. Its a Double Grape x Grapewalker kush my girlfriend named Terri fox, the names are always loosely related to strain name and a girls name, this strain we called 3g walker and because Terry fox is a legend and a prodigious walker/runner changed the name to Terri as its more female spelling and there you have it as absurd as it is that's the process. Anyway I had issues with water the whole time and didn't realise until just recently and I've since begun sorting it out. I got away from using my ec/ppm pen after I figured things out for different water nutes and slightly different medium. No one to blame but me for that. Consequently this plant isn't as big as the times I have or especially my brother did previously but its really putting on the frost now in real time. I am pumped and it has nice little funk going on too. I am now using an 8 x 4 that's unfortunately crowded with photos I won't be finishing so I'm not journalling them. But I run 2 mars hydro tsl 2000's a Mars ts 600 and Mars ts 1000 and a NextLight core now and I'll likely keep this light setup I have other decent lights but I think both me and the plants will enjoy this setup the best for what I currently have to offer them. This one is in promix HP I feel like I compounded my issues by mixing in a minimal amount of soil that I feel like must've been used and was actually meant to fill a flower bed in spring but I was a little short and I wanted to keep the train rolling it likely wouldn't have been such an issue but the water being as bad as it was anyways this one is live as the plant is still growing as I journal it so any help advice or comments are more then welcome. I appreciate and help and you taking the time to check in thanks. (I don't know why I included my Canna cats picture it was a shelter rescue and she likes to garden with me and hang out on my tents so she is kinda going to be my mascot I think going forward) IMG_20210108_231101.jpgScreenshot_20210120_004505_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_004441_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_004422_com.unlogical.jane.jpgIMG_20210118_233147.jpgIMG_20210118_233138.jpgIMG_20210118_233105.jpg

Week 1

Screenshot_20210120_005101_com.unlogical.jane.jpg
This is the first week of the double grape x grape walker my girl dubbed Terri Fox, she is a foxy lady now but that's not why the name, I kinda explained it in the opening bit but it's because we called the strain 3G walker and its a play of the walking part and the hopes it would be as legendary as Terry Fox. Anyways pics from the first week. Screenshot_20210120_005101_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_005050_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_004422_com.unlogical.jane.jpg

Week 2

Screenshot_20210120_010019_com.unlogical.jane.jpg
This is the second week of life for Terri. When I got the freebies originally I was stoked as I didn't expect that whatsoever. I have been happy with the orders I made three times over. Apart from the fact it Convinced me I needed to go through whatever hassle I had to get me more mephisto varieties. It's somewhat a shame that I didn't do as well I could or am accustomed to recently because of not monitoring my water quality as it would've been nicer to show what these beans could do but I have another journal coming where I try topping and more beans still to redeem myself. Also I have been blessed with the opportunity to test run some strains from Canadian Autoflower and I will be looking to do them justice so be on the lookout for that as they are coming soon and I am excited. Pics from week 2 it has a little taco leaf going on but I didn't concern myself as it is a genetic thing it has done it every run different lights every time. Never effected growth or anything previous and of anything effected growth in my grows lately it was me not monitoring my absurdly bad water. Week 3

Screenshot_20210120_010956_com.unlogical.jane.jpg
This is the third week I am going to start putting calendar dates for the weeks that are done live and I have two more to catch up on after this one. It will make it easier to update on a page through the week for me I think but who knows I am still just figuring all this out. Pictures from week 3 things moving along not bad considering what I now know about my water at the time. Which when I was using my bath tub for speed and convenience was at like 1.2 ec and like 800 to 1100ppm I wasn't documenting it until I realised I had a problem and the error of my ways I have since gotten on it the way I used to. Here's pics. Screenshot_20210120_010956_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_010942_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_010924_com.unlogical.jane.jpgIMG_20210120_010843.jpg

Week 4

Week 4 getting close to live now so I won't go on too much. I think everything has had half strength feeds of medi one line with root builder added into the mix for root inoculation and good bacterias it's an all organic line if I'm not mistaken and Canadian also which I try and support being from Canada myself. Honestly they work amazing and have changed the game for my brother and even myself when I used different water to start with. Healthy lush growth and frost like crazy when they flower which could be the mephisto base genetics in most of what I grow admittedly as well. Here's couple pictures. If you look closely at day 28 pictures it is starting to deal with the lockout the bad water is creating in the soil through absurd ec and ppm. Week 5 almost live in real time.

Screenshot_20210120_013002_com.unlogical.jane.jpg
Week 5 the lockout that was about to happen may have been narrowly avoided with some actual r o water not from my houses system which obviously doesn't work. I SHOULD'VE CHECKED when I went from bottled as I realised we had r o system at home and thought it was smart. and the heavy watering to rinse away some of the residual salts helped a lot I didn't want to drown them too badly so it will get one more heavy rinse and the levels should be close to right again and I can start feeding for a week or two before she comes down that's my hope anyway. You can see some nice frost starting to come in and what I mean with the lockout the leafs lost and gained colour with the rinse of the soil. I will list what I feed in more detail on all journals once I'm caught up again with them all. Hopefully I'll be able to get some advice and ways to improve that way and maybe I'll start tagging people by then I just don't want to harass anyone too much anyways pics below.

Week 6 (January 19 to 25th 2021)

Screenshot_20210120_013944_com.unlogical.jane.jpg
Well here we are finally up to date with a journal so I can post live and get help and share my experiences, good and bad with the community that I just generally value and who opinions and advice I further value and relish. Soil still a little damp from last rinse watering so I won't be giving it anymore for a day or two but I probably could as this strain seems very hard to drown or that's been my experience previously when I had my girl do stuff for a bit and it wasn't ideal lol. She did her best so hard to be mad especially when the plants didn't suffer. Here is pics from the first day of the week. Feel free to chime in at any point with help advice hell even criticism if it will help me improve. Screenshot_20210120_013944_com.unlogical.jane.jpgScreenshot_20210120_013954_com.unlogical.jane.jpgthese pics don't show the effect of the lockout much but I definitely haven't avoided negative effects entirely.

I have been growing for about 20 years on and occasionally(and sadly and regrettably) off. Started out as a punk kid getting into my dad's stuff until a friend of his gave me and my cousin some seedlings and I never looked back. When I got old enough my old man taught me how he did things which was all old school and soil. Taught me many a valuable lesson but mostly looking back really just know what you're growing in and "if you think it's done give it a week" when I first started out. Things have changed so much in the cannabis world since then. I started doing indoor about a year or so before it became legal for a friend of mine who had gotten his acmpr to grow a small amount he was having trouble so I helped him out. What a journey that led me on all across Ontario for lights and tents and clones and nutrients. I met so many good people along the way and as with anything in passionate about I read and want to learn more and get better. Which eventually led me to this great community of people and wealth of information. I am privileged to be a part of. I plan on being more and more involved in the community as I am grateful for what has been created here and all I have learned and will going forward. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to go on this journey with me in any small way or part I appreciate you.
