This will document the life and times of of a double grape bred by mephisto from Canadian Autoflower that my girlfriend dubbed with the name Dolce Gabana. This was done at the same time as the 4 assed monkey. Which until just recently I hadn't been able to fully understand some of the issues I had had but that's because I got complacent as I had things dialed in decently with the bottled water and smaller containers I had been using before I changed a couple things, by a couple things i mean everything from medium to nutrients and lights and I have learned a lot from both these experiences and people on this sites advice both direct and indirect. Most of my issues actually stemmed from water quality and excessive salts therein. I got complacent and stopped using my ec/ppm pen at really the time I ought not to have most but have seen the errors in my ways and have corrected it going forward. That will be documented when I do further journals and catch up with present time. I have decided I might skip the two I have of strains I have already done not to clog up the site any and to get current with the others. I look forward to doing active journals so I can receive input and implement in live time. Anyways on to this particular leg of the journey it was as all mephisto I've done solid genetics it took a lot of abuse and still produced quality results considering and in some regards period. With the recent revelation of how bad my water was its amazing to me still. (No excuses I got complacent because of previous efforts and wasn't paying attention to my water quality pH yes ec and ppm no and I learned from it.... The hard way lol) The plant ended up doing not too bad considering and being pretty decent smoke, still nice and frosty and tasty I just prefer the terp profile of the 4 assed that ran alongside this one more. Thanks for taking the time to look feel free to comment and share any ideas and advice that will help me going forward.
Week 1
Pictures from breach on the app and day 7 nothing too exciting just a little baby girl doing her thing.
Week 2
Pictures from day 9,11 and 14th day. She is coming along I don't recall having fed anything by this point my journal doesn't say I had and the soil isn't amended just promix HP but it almost looks in the one pic like it's a little burnt or heading towards early lockouts.
Week 3
Pics from day 15 and 21 it had some taco leave and yellow edges but seemed to have grown out of that and was fed once with medi one line at less than half recommended strength. Which made it jump pretty good, using staples for leaf tucking at this point.
Week 4
Pictures from day 23 and 27 I have started training it a bit at this point and it responded well to it as has really every mephisto I've done any form of manipulation too.
Week 5
Pictures from day 29 and 35. Still chugging along taking well to training and accepting what was still likely more nutrients then needed considering the high ppm and ec of my water throughout this cycle. Little slower to preflower then the 4 assed that ran alongside it.
Week 6
Pictures from day 36 and 41 started into its pre flower and flower at this point and still doing really well considering what I now know about the quality of the water I was using at the time of this grow. Lessons learned improvements have been made and practices altered in so many ways from like a month ago when this week actually took place until now. Feels like I started over all over again and if that is what I have to do ten more times to get closer to some of the peoples work I most respect so be it. Anyway she was still pretty healthy at this point.
Week 7
Pics from day 43 and 49. What at the time I thought was nute burn was probably that but also more likely lockout due to not adjusting the amount of water I used when I went to larger pots and acknowledging that going from the water I was using to my homes "RO" water would have an effect on things namely the ec and ppm has started to creep into things and the change is pretty obvious. Visible everywhere but most strongly in the leaves.
Week 8
Pics from days 50 54 and 56 the issues had been reduced due to a flush or two but without using a pen I was essentially shooting in the dark. Anyways she's just chugging along doing her thing getting fatter and frostier despite the challenges I created for her.
Week 9
Pictures from day 58 and 63 the plant is still bulking up nicely and producing thick trichome coverage and stickiness. It was easy to make a bush out of this lady and it could've been much nicer with more regulation on my behalf.
Week 10
Pictures from day 64 69 and 70 we are getting close to the home stretch now for sure plant fighting its way there.
Week 11 and time for the finish line for Dolce Gabana
Pics from days 74 and 77 when she finally got the chop was nice bush wish I gave it an easier life but produced not bad and the smoke was good so no complaints the strain was easy to grow and put up with the unnecessary stressors well.
