I try to always keep some of the Chem family in my grow tents, and Chemdogg is one of my favorites. I just harvested one today, and I have one that is just about 3 weeks old. I am starting this journal entry to keep track of my currently growing Chemdogg. As soon as the lights come on, I will get some photos of her posted so we can watch her grow together.
Let me say, that Mephisto is known for it's stable strains, and they put out some MONSTERS. The one I just cut down was rasta colored, with a giant cola, and satellites as large, and larger. She reached my nose, and was about a meter wide.
This one ended up being a lot smaller, due to several factors. None of them having to do with the genetics. All of them had to do with my feeding, and pot size. She had the potential, and she tried! She almost got there, despite only being in a 2 gal pot, i think she was phenomenal!
We will see how much we get with her, when i take her down this weekend! She's been flushing for a few days now, and will be ready within a few days.
Here I decided to do a side by side. You can tell which one is larger. It is the previous grow. The smaller plant is this grow. Other than size, they grew very similar in stature, color, and shape of bud. they could have been the same plant, with more soil, and a bigger pot. Oh well. live and learn.
First 4 weeks Feed Schedule
Week 1
Cali-Magic cal-mag, Roots Trinity, and Recharge @ 1/2 strength
lots of H2O
Week 2
Sensi Grow @ 1/4-1/3 strength, B-52 @ 2/3 strength
Cal mag, Trinity, and recharge @ 2/3 strength
Week 3
Sensi Grow @ 1/2 sterngth
cal mag, trinity, recharge, and B-52 @ 2/3 strength
between 18-21 days, I start giving them Armor-si, which is a silica.
Week 4
Sensi Grow @ 2/3 strength, B-52 as well. cal mag, trinity and recharge are at full strength at this point.
oc COURSE I dont give them all of this at once. The grow gets interspersed with the cal mag/trin/rech trio, and also fresh water.
This is a typical start to what I grow. I have several different plants on this regimen right now

3 week update.
So i'm a little bit behind with my Chem girls. This is a photo of her at her 2-3 week point. 22-23 days old I believe the notes say. At this point, I began some LST, and started giving her more light.
30 day update
man, she is AMAZING!!!!! I think i'm going to have another one just like the one i cut down. I'll post a photo of the bud pile into the main blog entry, so you see how much her sister gave me. 6.35 ounces off her! I'm giving this girl some more intensive training to see if i can get more of those forearm length buds. She got 1 treatment of Heavy 16's Prime this past week, and is about to get another,to prepare her for flower, and I am switching all of my plants over to Sensi Connoisseur (bloom and grow, depending on where they are. these girls are switching over to bloom now)
.............
yes i do realize that the date on my camera is not correct. I have no idea what is wrong with it. It's started doing some strange things, like making my photos change color, switching between modes when its not being touched, and an inability to focus on occasion. I need to buy another camera.

pollination and LST
so I've pulled her out a little more. She looks like a giant dish, but i can't really get a good photo of the entire thing right now. My camera's not behaving well today
But she has been pollinated, along with all of the other autoflowers that were in the right time frame to do so. I know im going a little stir-crazy with it, but why SHOULDN't I try to get as wide a range of gentics to play with as I can? I absolutely LOVE mephisto's genetics. this plant ESPECIALLY.

TAKEDOWN COMMENCES
So this one ended up being not that much smaller than the other one. I thought with a significantly lesser amount of soil, it would be a lot smaller, but theres something to say for good genetics. It's like every single one i grow is a clone of the other! That's normally the one thing i hate about autos. You can find the most amazing plant in the world, but once its gone, its gone. you will most likely never see that exact same plant again. But not with this strain. Even for Mephisto, this strain is super stable.
Check it out, you will see.
As far as weight, I ended up with about 3 oz, after it was ll said and done. Not a bad haul, but i can do better. It wasnt the plants fault. I made her small, because I didnt have the time for a big one right then. I'll mkae up for it i promise.
The buds were the same solid, long spears i have come to know and love. Silvery, very dense. A stark contrast from small, close in leaves that were a dark green until she went into her flush, and started eating her leaves. Got some pretty color changes. It was like fall in my room there for a while. Had this plant with the silver and yellow, the F1 with magenta and lime green, teh Ayahuasca w/ dark purple and blue-black, and a wide assortment of other greens and silvers coming off of the glue breath and some others i have going.
ANYWAYS. Check her out. I'm here to answer any of your questions,. Just post it up!
That last photo, if you look closely, has seeds all through it. WAIT! I DID IT ON PURPOSE! These are from my purple auto father, from the breeding project thread. I want as wide of a genetic pool to work with as I can get, so once he was mature, I took ALL of my autos, and pollinated on branch for each auto father. One green one, one purple one. We will see soon as to what comes out of these new F1 crosses. I know the two females I grew out from that first round were absolutely breathtaking as far as resin heads, and colors. We will see how they smoke soon.
Yes, I will post a journal about all the crosses i grow, just so we can see what they do.
This Chem was a dream to grow. I wish she had gotten bigger, but i thnk i outdid myself with this next one thats growing, at about 30 days now. (shes about to get posted up in a journal, and the big battle. I have all photos of her, I just havent had time to post up yet. )
General Autoflower Feeding Schedule (complete)
This seemed easier to me, than just posting a little bit here, a little bit there. Better to get the entire schedule on one page, that way anyone wanting to check it out, or copy it down, doesnt have to sift through all the different pages to try and put it together. Any anomalies I will put on the page it's happening on. Otherwise you can just assume that my girls are getting the normal posted schedule, on time, and are having no troubles. this is not an exact guide. this is what i do with all of my own plants., because everyone has their own rhythmn, and their plants will as well. This is only general guidelines for what to do, and when. Our environments are not exactly alike, so our plants will not eat exactly alike, even if they are the same strain.
in the first 1-10 days:
lite (1/8-1/4 strength)
cal mag (any variety) trinity (roots organics) (both together.w/recharge as well.)
and mycos (I use growers recharge) once btween days 1-5
if it needs feeding twice within those first 5 days, I use just 1/4 strength cal-mag in plain RO water, to moisten the soil
I get them a good fresh H2O feed in there within the 10 days as well.
around days 7-8, I start adding in a light Sensi G feed (grow nutrients @ 1/8-1/4 strength), and on off days, a cal-mag / H2O feed in between them, until days 14-15.
If they are still doing well, I start giving cal-mag at full strength.
between days 14-18ish, I will give them a single feeding of silica (2ml/gal) and sensizyme(full st.),
and then IMMEDIATELY after that, they will get a full strength cal mag/trinity/recharge feed
between days 14-21 increase Sensi Grow to 8ml /gal (2ml / ltr). I continue on at these strengths, using Sensi Grow...
until days 30-40 (depending on the plant) I begin the switch week to Sensi Bloom, and start giving them Bud Candy as well. continuing to alternate nutrient feeds with the cal mag/h20 feeds.
At days 40-50, I start adding in Big Bud with the rest of the nutrients. Continue to alternate with CM/h2o.
around day 45-ish, start using some b-52 in there with the cal mag/h2o feeding.
days 50-55ish, start using Overdrive instead of Big Bud in there with the base nutrients.
Depending on strain, start reducing/stopping your base nutrients between days 60-70.
If still going beyond that, a couple of weeks, use Overdrive and Sensizyme 1-2x/wk, with Trinity in there @ 1/2 - 2/3 strength on off feed days.
Last week-10 days, I flush.
I use Sensi for most of the nutrients.
Trinity comes from roots organics, recharge comes from (edit name)
any questions just post them in the discussion, FEED SCHEDULE capitalized somewhere in there so I can catch it easier, and I'll answer it as soon as I see it.

I havent had a chance yet to get a new camera, so my photos are all yellow and blurry a lot of the time. No, not all of that is the HPS. my cam qwont focus, and it has me so upset that i cant really do my journals like i want to. all the photos SUCK.
Anyways, she's a little smaller than the last one, because I fed her as if she were in a bigger pot for a little while, not think ing that she was only in a 2 gal, not a 3-5 gal pot like i normally do. She got a little bit restericted, but it doesn't seem to have hurt the bud quality. I will post more detailed info this weekend when i have more time. I have a 16 contact-hour semester going on right now. HEFTY

Almost ready for flush
So she's almost ready! She didn't get as big as the last one, or as colorful, but that was my fault. I know what i did. I fed her a little too much for how small her pot was, and she got root bound quicker than i thought she would. I realized what I was doing though, and slowed her and the Creme down. but not before they got a tad bit stunted. Of course, my first journal for that strain and i stunt it. STILL an amazing plant, though. (FYI, the pole is a 4 ft. bamboo support., for a size reference, it goes to the bottom of the pot)
No deficiencies, no problems.
Beautiful, thick growth (I just kept defoliating, so light could get to the buds.)
Long, stacked buds covered in white frost.
Pungent smell, like chemical covered allspice
Makes you eat your couch, not just get locked on it.
Most of her additives have been taken out of the regiment by now. Shes just getting the basics, and some big bud. Next week, she will start her flush, and get ready to harvest.
Shall I do a time-lapse take down? let me know in a comment.
Wk 8-9 Flushed, last update before harvest!
So I started flushing this one a few days after the 3 bears and the Creme, but she will be coming down this weekend too. probably Sunday. I will b e taking harvest photos, of course, and I will be doing one last post on this blog entry, before I close it, and move on to the next strain. Well, I have one other of these growing, but i did not start a journal on it, because I just finished this one. It's been getting nothing but fresh bubble water for the past few days.
She's a beauty. Got that same long, solid bud structure. Wonderful mother. Her two pollinated branches are just COVERED in seeds, and those two branches in particular are eating their leaves at an amazing rate, having most of the fans chewed down close to the buds already, to keep feeding those seeds. and they are popping out all over the place, its awesome looking. I'm so excited to see what i get with these. I probably will be doing mostly my own autos for a while, aside from whatever I decide to grow for the mephist competition. What do you think? Ripleys, Fugue State, Another Chem or Creme, or maybe a Stomper express? so many to choose from.
I digress, though.
THe CHemdogging is a little smaller than before, but she is in a pot thats a full gallon smaller than the other pot, nand she seemed to go into flower a little bit earlier (probably because of the pot, too. ) I've noticed that as soon as a flowering auto reaches the max size of her root zone, she starts to slow down her flower, and start filling out what shes already got rather than growing more. I'm taking her probably Sunday. I'll photo the whole process, dont worry.
Here's what she looks like now.
