Irie Genetics -- Test Run of 5 Mystery Seeds

Tent with Red Bucket.JPG
This Grow Log features Irie Genetics Mystery Seeds. I am growing 5 unknown seeds. I don't know anything about the seeds.

Rasta Jeff is working on a few new projects and testing them in a variety of Grow Styles helps determine strain/cultivar viability.

Another positive, it could of been 0 out of 4, but I feel your pain mate, sending you oodles of good vibes and all the good stuff for your 1 (possibly 2) remaining girls

Day 41 - (050122)

* I was supposed to post that today is officially Day 1 of Flower.

* So, 24 hours of light and at 6 AM I start 12 hours darkness.

* Good News - Irie 3 Came back as a Female

* I still need to send out red bucket once materials arrive

* Red Bucket needs my homemade Ca / Mg everyday (the other 2 seem fine every other day)

* See Pairs Photo for Irie 5

Day 43 - Corrections

** Last Day of Veg.

** As for First Day of Flower, I realized that I needed to report after the first 12 hours.

** At 0900 this morning they began their first 12 hours of darkness.

** Tomorrow @ 0900 will complete Day 1 of Flower.

** Photos tomorrow.

** Germinating 1 Purple Haze (Auto) & 1 Jack Herer (Auto)

Day 43 -- Getting Ready for Flower

VPD and DLI are what I grow by. Here are my new goals for Flower (when leaf temp and tent temp are the same)

1651764751295.png

Day 44 - Stats & Notes

- Reservoir dropped an 1.5 inches over 24 hours with 2 plants drinking (12.5" to 11")

- pH upward creep is disturbing (6.4 to 6.65 overnite)

- pH Down to 6.3

- I’m ok with the drift, as the changes open some doors a little wider for element uptake

- Gave each plant 50 ml of my homemade Ca/Mg (1/2 of what I have been doing)

- Germinating one (1) Purple Haze Auto & one (1) Jack Herer

- I think I saw that the Purple Haze was breaking through.

- Doing my best not to over water

- Switched lights to DLI 36-ish (PPFD 830) before the lights went out this AM

First Thought: Go Back to 100 ml of Ca/Mg (homemade version)

Each Plant received:

** 100 ml Ca/Mg Mixture

** 50 ml Mr. Fulvic / Kelp Mixture

** Foliar of micronutrient solution

Made a very hot gallon of nutrients:

** 4.0 EC

** 3.78 pH

I mixed this into the reservoir, which was:

** 1.8 E.C

** 6.53 pH

Final Result:

** 2.2 EC

** 6.36 pH

a) I’ll get the tank down to 6.0 tomorrow.

Day 51 - First Day of Week 2 Flower

End of First Week Haircut

-- Removed Bottom 1/3

-- Removed Largest Fan Leaves

-- Next Haircut the End of Week 3

Gave 100 ml Ca/Mg.

Gave 200 ml of nutrients to help with haircut stress.

Since I've had to pull 3 males out of the tent ... I am going to run Purple Haze and California Snow AutoFlowers on the 12/12 cycle, just to fill the tent.

I tried to germ a Jack Herer, but it never popped, so Cali Snow gets it's slot.

Even More Day 51 News:

I took these last night after the first Flower Pruning. I did more training this AM. I'll post them later. They are eating and drinking like teenagers. Ca deficiencies seem to be under control.

First - I want to apologize for letting this grow log die on the vine.

I guess I was going through Grow Log Fatigue. I was posting in too many forums and the Irie Testers weren't even Autoflowers.

Nonetheless, I am back. Also, I've invested in better camera equipment. So, for my next Grow Log I am committed to completing here and giving it 100%. Although, if you see my other recent posts, there are going to be some flies in the ointment.

I did the same thing with Grow Diaries, but I did get my photography up to date and catch up with photos through harvest there. I stopped writing every small detail, but the pics were current until the end.

If you are a Fan of Rasta Jeff and his Irie Genetics, please go check out this link: Irie Genetics Mystery Testers

I now know the name of the future strain ... but I will not post it until he goes public with it. He may never do so if his Tester Feedback doesn't reach his standards. It's hanging to dry, so I can't comment on the "smoke," just yet.
