I checked the weight of the pot today and it was noticeably lighter. I watered with the 6-11 boost solution after mixing 2 teaspoons ROGrow and 3 teaspoons ROBloom into topsoil. Hoping the towel wicks away moisture from the bottom of the pot.
Week 6
28
Decided to lay off of LST for a few days. I am hand separating leaves to allow light into the plant where some buds are seeking the light. LOL. I turned off the vertical fan and one of the 6-inch fans. I will turn it on again, just didn't want too much wind all day. I was not maintaining light distance. Plan to increase the wattage to full in 2 weeks, I think.24" X 75% X 900.Watching for gnats after feeding and providing a boost solution and HP spray on the soil.

I am surprised the moisture meter is showing low water already. I am planning to water with a solution of 4 tbsp Mosquito Bits to 1 gal of water today after I recheck moisture. This is my plain water turn. The bits need to soak for 30 minutes, then remove. I am hoping this late in will be the only treatment I need although another is recommended in 3 weeks. 7Yellowing leaves. She got pretty fry but no wilt. I watered thoroughly with the most recent boost solution. I made it stronger than usual for the last weeks. I asked, and thanks all for the help, but was told the plant actually looks very good with only a slight deficiency. I have been mixing an organic product with the GH advanced products to serve as a boost. I need to do better documenting of ingredients and stage them. I know they can vary by strain requirements but I want to dial in a nute schedule that generally works throughout each week's needs. Also, I apologize for having missed some entries by not saving them correctly..5 g19" X 85% X ?Waiting overnight to look at leaves that have yellowed. Will snip them if continuing to yellow.

Week 812
13Oh My! Week 8! I watered 2 times plain water after a mild feed solution with Liquid Seaweed and GH Advanced Products in week 7. I am feeding with RO Bloom Terp Tea tomorrow. The Terp Tea runs 2-3 weeks. This with plain water twice. During Bloom, I will apply GH base and advanced products targeting bloom and ripening. I don't want to overdo it but thinking a heavier load is needed now. I need to remember we are coming up on 70 days, week 10. I am really curious to see the GH Advanced Products that benefit the organic properties of RO Bloom work together. A new spreadsheet will capture weekly feed recipes going forward.... Critical Purple next. Someone mentioned 'dialing in' to get feeding and environment working in sync. That is what I am getting more interested in.
14
15Added and watered with plain water RO Bloom. I felt like I can see the buds fattening or bulking up a little. This is the focus of feeding for now. Lots of bud sites that need to get fat. I removed all of the LST clips and wires. The plant has mostly taken the shape it will keep more or less. I still have lots of leaves on the plant. The yellowing I mentioned continues but not in an alarming way. I took 3-5 sets of leaves I found dried out or yellowing under the canopy. I don't take more than that and never have trimmed green leaves. My phone died, pictures after charging.
16
17Plain water today @ PH 6.3 I did not measure run-off. I should. Especially during / after bloom transition.5
18
Week 919Watered Am I losing count on water?.5
Day 5820That water from yesterday is mostly gone. I am not running much through on nutrition. Just the RO feed and watering with light GH micro, bloom, koolbloom and ripen. The RO Bloom should feed for 2 weeks at 3 teaspoons. The solution I am adding holds like 2 ml Bloom and the Ripen I am hoping for bulk. I think it is also a pre-flush. I am not concerned with flushing short of timing using the nutrients up. I have the Kleen product more for soil reuse so can do it anytime.. This feels close 11 weeks. 11 should be dark time.
21I think I figured something out. I am watching the pistils turn inward and amber. Then looking at Trichomes for cloudy then 20-30% amber. (THC degrades further during cure so maybe include this in calculations.) I have two deficiencies. One, I think is light bleaching. The other I am not sure. Something bothering me has been yellowing leaves. I am realizing the plant is nearing the end of bloom so I started thinking this is where she steals nutrients from fan leaves to throw to the buds. I am getting a microscope for the phone to monitor trichome maturity. I believe I am flushing from here. I repeat, not to influence the weed, but to clean up the soil for reuse..5
22
23I watered to 35% runoff 3 ML Liquid Seaweed and 5 ML GH Kleen. To 1 gallon water. I ran the whole gallon through the pot and test run-off PH @5.72. The solution measured 6.3 going in. I tied down a few colas to expose light to the entire stem. I removed damaged leaves and some yellowing. LOL > I saved the stems for the new infuzer on the way to mix with the trim when we get there.
24
25
Week 1026Running a gallon of water with 4ml Kelp and PH 6.3, PPM 200. Then measuring runoff to see if pot ppm gets lower from feeding and washing away. ph6.5, ppm 1100. No change. Nothing to do but watching bud size and trichomes.
27
28Found some ambers but overall they are not consistent across the plant. She's ready to water again. LOL She was ready last night. I am going to give her .5 g with kelp and HP and maybe some aroma / taste adds.
29
30I'm letting her go into week 11. I am partly cloudy. I started peeling the buds open a little to snap pics of the calyxes. They are close to cloudy mostly. I see some nodules that remind me of what I thought would be hermi pods. It is pretty late into the grow so I am hoping it is something normal. Each has 2 pistils coming out. I think I have pics. The pics are blurry. Antway I also tied all the tall colas down to open the canopy. The longest I hope to leave the plant is Wednesday or Thursday. I will get another pic with the microscope of the questionable.

Note. I am re-doing the spreadsheet approach. I want to get it like it is a checklist with comments and weekly troubleshooting notes. Some of the LST clips are very tight and when I was doing them I add clips on stems that may have been too short between nodes. Some of the yellowing appears where clips may cause chokepoints as the plant grows. Not sure, but felt better removing a few clips.

Fed solution of GH Advanced nutrients to include: Armor Si 1.5, Cal Mag 2.0, Micro 3, Grow 1, Bloom 4, Floralicious Plus 1, Liquid Koolbloom 2, Ripen (5ml). I mixed 1 gallon and slowly used 1/2 gallon today. PH'd to 6.3. This will sit 2 days. Instead of fully drying out I will add the RO Terp Tea for Bloom and water that in with plain water over 2 waterings .5g each. I will return to the solution after two plain watering in of the dry amendments. (measures above are ml)

I hope it is my inexperience, but I want to see some bulking out here over these next 2 weeks.
I have a few leaves yellowing, but it appeared some got greener after watering. I may be drying out too long. 4 days. I am not going to be as concerned this late about over-reacting to over-watering. Every 2 to 3 days. I keep a layer of Coco Croutons in my bags which probably hold moisture and enabled me to hold longer between waterings. This is a guess.

At 8 weeks, should I consider defoliation? The buds along the stems get light from leaf tucking mostly. Leaf tucking changes as the plant bends to the light or when I give her a turn to share light. There are several yellowing leaves in the back and in the canopy lower. They still hold green, just lighter.

Turning off the babble.... Have a good one, folks!

I have not added the dry RO Bloom. decided to give it a day so will check her out late tonight. I am concerned about flowering status. They look early in maturity from what I expected. I won't mind being wrong. I may confuse flower time. Like folks say GG harvest is in 70-75 days. Then I here extended times. This is Grower's Choice so should be ready in week 10. I didn't want to flush too late or too early. Guess we will find out pretty fast from here.

Buds! Early Frost....
20210715_134455.jpg

20210715_134440.jpg

Nervous Week 9. This should have enough feed for 2 weeks @ 3tsp amended to the top and watered in. (so I am guessing now...) Was hoping the lower buds might still bulk up. The active ingredient in my waterings is the light-feed schedule for GH bloom, Micro, KoolBloom and Ripen. Week 9. I was thinking this solution would wash away excesses yet support blooming through week 10.

Different folks have said I still have time. She is thirsty at about .5 gallon over 1.5 -2 days. Was watering every 4 prior to noticing today.

I hope to recognize some effects from the Ripen. I am seeing some. I just don't have the experience to know what to expect from this first grow. Ripen was a late add.

'Something Learned - "Read the labels, match nutes to balance and protect even a living soil." While doing labels I learned hints of compatibility with another nute company doing RO.

Babbling. Just pics for a bit.

Closing 9th week.

Getting a little frustrated. Autoflower guides show 9-10 weeks even 11 to harvest. The strain pack says 70-75 days and then I read the providers web site for more different information stating I need 60 days after veg for gorilla glue. So that is a 90 day grow. So which is it? I want to think it is a longer grow. I am not happy with the current 'stickiness' and resin content. The frost is not near what is illustrated from the seed provider.
Improvements:
1. Ordered a USB Microscope for Trichome and sugar leaf inspection.

2. I have started pre-writing / planning my feed routines for the next grow. I am trying to use up 2 different manufacturers' nutrition products and writing the feeding schedule accordingly. For a first-timer this is probably more trial and error. I have felt rushed or behind the ball on feeding so have to think I may be overcompensating. I am thinking I timed the last feed OK if 75 days is the target. I plan to stop the boost solutions and wind down watering with Armor SI and Seaweed.

3. I wanted to capture this: I mixed Diatomaceous Earth, a generous amount, into the top 2 inches of soil when I started. When you water this it actually forms a layer on top that takes a little work for pest to get underneath. Not to mention the harm it does to pests like gnats. I had a case of fungus gnats but never saw a lot of them which I attribute to the Diatoms.

4. Pesticides: I am using Mosquito Bits to kill FGnat larvae. I don't want to use them but I am starting to believe 1 use to soak the soil prior to planting will contain and control gnats and other pests through most of the grow.

5. Flushing: I think this: I don't think I need to flush for the benefit of the plant. I think I need to flush to help establish a baseline for reusing the soil. I want to clean it up and then add fresh soil and pre-charge with fertilizer.

6. Coco Croutons: I presoak in water and put 2" in the bottom of the pot to serve as a moisture reservoir. I believe it helps. I was testing watering and allowing the plant to dry down or use up moisture. I never got to a leaf-wilting moment until today. She is still drinking more and more. I am at approx .5 gallon in 2-3 days. I have read watering will increase and then the plant will mature and suddenly demand less water. This should be one clue for determining harvest.

Thanks for documenting all the details. I didn't find exactly what strain of GG you're running? I just started a GG4 Autoflower by GGStrains that I got from Hembra Genetics, so I've been very curious to watch your progress!

Thanks. I am growing Grower's Choice Seeds Gorilla Glue 4 Feminized. I bought 5 seeds and the first one is the one here. This is also my first grow. I am becoming kind of addicted to it. I can't stop reading everything and trying to learn. If you do a diary, let me know.

I mentioned I got a USB microscope for my phone. I should get it tomorrow and try some pics to evaluate where she is in her maturity. I've used the phone zoom and magnifiers and can't get clear pictures. Hopefully, this device will wash away my unsureness.

Ditto, I'm definitely addicted to growing weed! I'm on my 5th grow before the first grow has finished. And cramming on overtime to learn from those who've gone before here on AFN, in Nebula Haze's tutorials, and any other info I can find.
I've been doing weekly updates on all my grows at https://www.autoflower.net/forums/ubs/no-mo-mershy.794/page/nl-9wks-bg-8wks-pk-7wks-gl-3-wks.1288/
I have a small tent but the experience wants me to go bigger. I plan to try 3 gal pots on my next grow. I think I can get 4 of those at one time going. I have Critical Purple, LSD, Super Lemon Haze plus freebies on the way from ILGM. When I have a good personal stash going I am thinking about growing for others. I have to see how that will work out in VA over the next 4 years. Might even consider moving to be able to do it. Like a Cannabis Caretaker Caregiver.

Yes! I have at least 3 friends with issues that might benefit from my crop. I hope a continuous grow of 6 plants will be enough for all of us. A high school buddy is severely depressed (class of 1969). A neighbor is bipolar, has anxiety and depression, and can't seem to stay on her meds, but can remember to smoke a blunt. A refugee neighbor is traumatized from a lifetime of abuse, struggling to raise 2 kids while working 2 jobs, and paying for 2 or 3 eighths a week of street weed for her depression. Our NY gov signed the MRTA in March. Now we're just waiting for the NY Cannabis Commission to work out some details. Actually, I gave up waiting, my first harvest is almost ripe.

Good for you. I am a caregiver for my 98 year old Mom. I left work and have been doing this for 8 years. I am hoping, in VA, opportunities open up to consider continue with cannabis as medicine and business.

These popped up yesterday. I've seen yellowing before but this is different. I am thinking nute burn when I see the tips dry. I have what I am calling many turning lighter.

It is very likely I burned them. I top dressed with 3 tsp RO Bloom, but also wanted to boost nutes suspecting I was going too light. So I added a solution from the light GH feeding schedule. A little Grow, Micro, Bloom, Silicate, Kool Bloom liquid and Ripen. I watered with this today.

Going forward with Armor Si and Kleen in week 10. The Kleen is for prepping the soil for re-use. There should still be RO Bloom to last the grow. Also the Trichome close-ups on Friday.

I think I am just nervous about ending with decent quality as my first test.

More observations: Lightening color or yellowing appears mostly in bottom-up fan leaves.

Do small growers save these stems for tinctures, oils? Toss them in with trim? I was reading the fan leaves have little use but the stems have enough thc for infuzers, making tinctures etc.

I see plants ending on grows with practically non of these leaves left by harvest. So wondering if and when to cut.

This is the main cola. It is the closest to the light. Markings on some of these leaves made me think of bleaching and scorching. I both raised and dimmed lights. Funny, I just remembered reading Gorilla Glue 4 was not as demanding for light. I was at 15" X 100% under the TS 1000. I raised the lights and lowered the intensity a notch or two. I am just guessing too much light on this area and other branches look good.

20210722_140924.jpg

I just started growing a couple of months ago, so not much help. It looks like only a few leaves affected though, so maybe not a systemic issue. Post it in the Live Stoners forum and you'll get good answers.

The Yellowing. I think I got it all sorted out.

This Gorilla Glue #4 is a 70-75 plant. I am thinking the leaves turning are all fan leaves and signaling the plant is moving nutrients from unneeded leaves to budding efforts. The pistils have turned in toward the buds and are 30% amber or orange. These can all turn to signal close monitoring of the Trichomes.

The plant is 59 days old. The end of Week 10 is day 70 and week 11 day 75

I just ordered the microscope so am late on this grow, but Friday I should be able to see the trichomes and evaluate from there.

From here I am just plain watering.
Maybe some kelp.

Snipped a lot of fan leaves. I watered to a 35% run-off and let drip for a while outside of the tent. I tied some of the colas down to lay them down a little to expose more light to buds. All the popcorn stuff is in the light now.
Today is the last day of week 9 so I watered with GH Kleen 5ml/g and Liquid Seaweed 3ml/g.

Run off: PH 5.72 Add-in PH 6.3 I spent some time allowing solution ingredients to bond to get 6.3. What would bring down the PH if I am consistent with 6.3 - 6.5 waterings? I am in the range if 5.8 - 6.3 standard for soil.

The little buds and trim are for a new Hi Infuzer I bought. I prefer to ingest for the best overall effects and smoke to maintain. I plan to focus on the LSD grow coming to make tinctures, oils and edibles. They are on the way.

The only question is when should I expect all the sticky related to Gorilla Glue? Nothing too sticky, definitely no oozer of glue as of today.
