A Crackin' run

With all the turbulence, my plans have changed. Plan was to head south for the winter, but with all going on, and a poor performance from the tent my last round, (photos, and genetics were meh) I kinda need another round out sooner rather than later...

So, so that I can be done early February and maybe still get out of here for a couple months, this will be a run of Mephisto Cracks.

1 sour crack
4 Sam's Crack (these are/were small and light brown, not holding my breath that they pop)
3 White Crack

1 CDLC & 1 Super Orange Haze started as well on the chance I don't get any of the Sam's crack to come up.

6 spots, 3 gallon bags. Will be running Nectar for the gods #4 soil, and this time instead of running a modified Roman regime, I'll be using just Oneshot with some Gia, Demeters and Herc. If things look good, I may try and kick in the Bloom Khaos.

Trying to cut the "cost per run" here. The end product is phenomenal, but I'm dropping close to 300$ a round for nutes in a 4x4.

Nice lookin' run! Have you started supplementing with the Gaia yet or still One Shot only?

Been running gaia from the start (week 3) at about half strength. Herc at about the same, with a touch of Demeters.

The variegated girl has a single flower affected. Rest of the tent is still showing issues from the high soil pH, youngest plant seems to have avoided all the issues.

Quick update. Girls are moving along. Still seeing some issues persist on a couple of the girls, nugs look great tho, and the later added girls aren't exhibiting, so I believe the issue was early and fixed.

Much better than the last run... I know better... friggin crap it was... am down to an oz or so, doesn't look good, poor smell and flat crap for weight. At least it got ya high...this run looks like I'll be set for a few months. 5 gallon bags... so you can see, those are packing on the size and weight.

What happened in your last run?

I ran photos.

When I do photos I've always try and get a group of local growers to pitch in looking for a good cut to share. I didn't do that this time... just ran them.

I got all the ugly sisters... low yield, poor smell. Bag appeal wasn't there... at all. Am already past the weight of the past run, and another couple weeks to go. House reeks of nug too. If I got an elbow off the last run I'd be suprised... and my 4x4 hasn't done under a lb in several yrs.

I haven't had good luck with seeds for almost two years in regards to photos.

That's a discouraging situation though. I'm glad this is going better for you, bad grows can be aggravating. What strain was it that gave you issues last time?

I ran iced grapefruit from nl... it was the last of a 10 pk. I had great, good, and meh results from that pack. Was the most citrusy canna I had ever grown. Not mild at all, it screamed grapefruit.
Not the last one.
The whole run had an underlying anise (black licorice) smell. Not a favorite of mine, kinda hits my gag reflex. Ran a KO kush from heavyweight seeds too. Have had less than stellar success with their autos... again, should have been thinking more.

Damn stoner ...

Very interested in knowing how the grow turned out and what you think about OneShot?

4 plants down, 2 still running. So far am at about 20 oz jarred. Figure I'll end up with a little under 30 Oz.

Overall a successful run. Oneshot on it's own, ain't gonna cut it. Even as I ran it with the addons, while the quality looks great, quantity is fair, the bag appeal suffered from other runs running a modified roman regime.

Have made changes for the next round. Many reasons why, but I'll keep it to just a couple.

(1) Oneshot is great for house plants and veggies, but it is not balanced for canna.
Now you can add in a few things to get the balance better, but with your main (A &B fertz) in the oneshot, there's really no way to increase the level of feed accurately to push the plants given it's time release action.
So, (2) it keeps you away from the bloom Khaos... bloom Khaos is what makes or breaks a run with NTFG... it's like hitting the throttle on a dragster in flower... size, shape, weight, smell, all missing something without the BK.

As always, slf100 and photosynthesis + will be in the run as well.

Kinda figured. Maybe someday a simple time release that works will come but I guess we'll just have to keep mixin' :stir:. Thanks for the info!

Mostly finished with this run, have one more golden crack running.

So... was cleaning up and reorganizing... taking care of the worms, new coco etc...

Filled a 5 gallon bottle with water for the coco brick and off to the kitchen we go!

Yep... it was full... 5 gallons across the kitchen floor.

Got it cleaned up, what a pia.

Going back to bed sounds like the right decision from here.

Next round is in, up, and everyone is getting a modified Greek regime.
Am right at 100% feed, 50% Bloom Khaos. All looking stellar.
1 Ghost Toof (r. Rt)
1 Hubbabubba Haze (cntr)
1 Northern Cheese Haze (ft lft) and
2 Walter White (R. L & ft R) one seed spun, came up and didn't know what way to grow. Shes a runt, but I'll let her run. Am figuring about 30 days in.

So... the Bloom Khaos is doing its thing... that last pic was Saturday, today is Wednesday, so what 4 days? NCH rear L Ghost Toof RearR HBH center & the 2 Walter's. Those are 7 gallon bags.

Still running 100% feed with 50% BK HH is @ 300%

Here's the list again for those interested.
20210303_083307.jpg

Also SLF 100 & Photosynthesis plus.

Ghost Toof is starting to get "the look" have always thought of it as a spring being wound getting ready to pop for the stretch. She'll be in flower soon. The others seem to be a bit farther away, that's fine, bring on the monsters!

One weeks growth.

There's an orange shoebox back center that my temp/rh gauge sits on.

Monday and the runt is outside the tent for now. I don't think there'll be an issue filling the space with just the 4. Debating on what to do with the 5th (walter white)... am leaning towards reversing a couple branches and letting her self. Setting up and isolating area isn't too much of a pain... we'll see in a couple days. She's the only one that hasn't made the move to flower yet, only showing sex so far so need to get on the CS if I'm going to do it. Lights out in 3 hrs, they're getting the evening droops.

So far things are running very well on the level of nutes I've been feeding. Moving to early flower feeds @ this point, will also be increasing to 125% of feed, 7 ml BK per gal and 45 ml HH. Am keeping fairly detailed handwritten notes. Figure at this point, I've made most of the mistakes with the line, and have a fair handle on what works and what doesn't, and at what levels. Thinking I'll put together some kind of "how to get started with nectar & autos".

Things still on track, tent should be packed up pretty well. Hubbabubba is ramping up her stretch just as the other 2 hazes (nch & ghost toof) slow up. Walter, left front, is doing her own thing, a little behind, I believe she's just getting into the stretch.
2nd walter (outside the tent)is getting 3 branches sprayed with CS twice a day. An isolation container in the works.

Not seeing any feed issues, hbh seems a little more light sensitive, she'll start rolling her fans on edge at about 10 hrs of light. I could probably drop down to 16 on without any loss, everyone is drooped out by 16 hrs.
Gonna bump the feed to 150% (bk to 200%) next feeding, so the numbers will look like this (provided I get a thumbs up from the slurry test)

(Amounts per gallon)
Medusa's magic 15ml
Ghia mania 15ml
Athenas 15ml
Demeters 10 ml
Herculean harvest 60ml
Zeus 10ml
Bloom Khaos 10 ml.
SLF100 15ml
Photosynthesis plus 1ml

Oly up to 6.55 to .60ish

Just went over to the OCG website, and looks like I am running everything from their "new starter kit" with the demeters, athenas, & 1 gal of HH... so... when done with the run, I should know exactly how many plants the starter will get you thru, what I had to add, and thoughts on what I'd add in future rounds... (already missing "the kracken"... if your training, don't use till done, will make the stems and stalks like rocks used foliar).
So things I'll add in next round will be Titons Trawl, Aphrodites extraction, and the Kracken will come back as well. Tritons can replace some of the HH, and adds to the color and terp profiles... yeah yeah, talk... have run it... there's a difference... will you like it? I can't say, but I do, as does my smoking circle. The Aphrodites extraction is carbon/sucrose, meant to feed the microbial, and add to the frost.

This should be about day 45. Hbh is on a tare, talk about looking like a weed! Just like the one I grew for the test, hope the smoke is the same.

Am stressed and not stressed about time... my son is getting married first week of May... I need them down and at least in jars by then... I can take it along and burp on the trip (probably gone a week). Think I'm all good, 75 days falls right in mid April. Add maybe another 10 days puts me in the 20s... 9 days to dry... right at end of April... easy peasy right?

Guess I'll do what I need to do to get them finished, I don't like using babysitters, but it may be necessary. Hate the idea of someone else drying my weed.

Open to suggestions.
