It's DAY 1,2,3........20!!!
Plant order (in photo): 1,2,3
#2 was topped after the 5th node @ D18.
DAY 20
#1 has 5 full nodes and a 6th emerging. She is the control for comparison sake. NO training of any kind. Will just work to keep her healthy and happy and let her... do her thing.
#2 continues to do very well. She is healthy and filling out nicely. Topping has not slowed her down a bit.
Topped #3. She may look (a little) bigger than #1, but she is a full node behind. We'll see if topping and training her makes a convincing difference. These were near identical except for the control having a slightly more developed 5th node. We'll see.

WEEK 4
Very dense healthy growth on all 3. Removed top pair of fans from both topped gals (2&3) to let more light in.
Basic lighting is 250w diy cob rig (5x50w) at max height. 42" from soil surface. (12k lux)
Added 1x50w autocob.
Lux: 18-22k
DAY 21
DAY 24 - Getting thick
Fed them yesterday after 3 days dry. The transformation overnight is incredible!
Autocobs help put the light where needed for an even spread... no matter the canopy height.
(1) 13" / 24k lux
(2) 17" / 29k lux
(3) 9" / 23k lux

WEEK 5
D30
#1 (Left) is growing without any topping or training. She's healthy. She was 48 hrs between feedings in pic. Hence her droopy leaves. (20")
#2 (Center) was topped after 5th node. She has 10 tops competing for dominance. They are quite equal, forming a nice even canopy on her. No LST on her. (22")
#3 (Right) was topped and has been trained open and flat. She's wide and 12" tall.
Have been allowing dry day(s) between feedings to avoiding over watering/feeding. All seem to be responding positively.

WEEK 6
DAY 37
Well... after an extended dry period, I got busy and neglected to feed an entire extra day. The result was a lot of dead lower leaves everywhere and #3 looked like a shriveled gonner.
Amazing how resilient these plants are. The dead leaves amounted to a good defoliation of some of the largest inner growth that was just blocking airflow anyway and all are looking good again. The shriveled #3 is perky and happy again after a good feed/defoliation.
What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.
I'll get some pics up tomorrow
As promised.
24 Carat D38 in front.
Sour Stomper D43 in the back.
DAY 40
Unable to upload new pics to this page. Will try when new page is created.
These are extremely healthy and vigorous. Smell is funk/gasoline

WEEK 7
24 Carat - Day 45
DAY 48
All are healthy and vigorous.
Base feed strength of MegaCrop has been increased to 4g/gal.
These have generally been getting fed the full compliment of nutes/supplements, usually at a slightly diluted rate. They have shown mag deficiency the entire time and have been responding to Epsom and GLN CalMag.
#1 is un-trained in any way. Let to grow as she wants, she has the classic single cola xmas tree structure. All secondary branches are at approximately the same level with an 8" super cola. She is perfect, but would have benefitted from training in some way. The stress seems to always bring out the best. She will be a good control example.
#2 was the most vigorous of the 3 and was topped after the 5th node within 20 day topping timeframe. No lst here. She has been showing slight mag deficiency all along, but remains quite vigorous and very healthy otherwise. Her many tops are getting fat.
#3 has been topped and lst'd. Shes a short and very sturdy little plant. She is loaded with flowers and her branches are filling their entire length with buds. She's very healthy and the nicest shade of green of the entire tent.

WEEK 8
DAY 52
All of these are doing very well and are (fairly) healthy heading into the home stretch. Ther are covered in diamonds and smell of gasoline/chemicals.
#1 is all-natural and is forming an impressive main cola that is getting thick. With 2+wks left, she will be a very good representation of this strain in its natural growth.
#2 has a nice canopy of compact dense colas. She will yield best of the bunch. She is very healthy and may be allowed go longer if she remains so healthy. She's getting fatter by the day.
#3 is less mature than the others but very healthy. She has always just grown at her own pace. She will be a more compact version of #2.
