Its not that bad to be fair just more curious so it doesnt get any worse kind of thing.. Thinking mag now tho.. Had a cal issue and dosed it with a high one and seemed to sort it and thinking thats now caused this..
Or could be the silica is driving up ph after i add it to water and im not bringing it back down ( as i think soil should buffer the ph to what it needs)
Ill hold back giving silica and see if it fixes. If it gets worse.. Flush and redo i suppose
Potassium silicate does raise the pH as it is a base. Best practice is to add it to the water first, stir and let is dissolve. Afterwards add the other nutrients and finally lower the pH to the required value. If you add the potassium silicate last then it will react with the relative lower pH rendering the silica unusable.
