i don't know if this will help but its very rare i ever get a dud this way it may be worth you taking a look to try at some stage as soon as i have a sprout they go straightin a solo cup in the root plug https://www.autoflower.org/threads/germination-the-ronin-way.33891/ also you know me id only share something ive tried many many times

i have done them in paper towels then into the coco and Rockwool but nothing compares to doing it in these i hope it helps

Maybe a slight exaggeration out of the 5 plants I'm growing this round, 1 took 3 seeds to germ and another 1 took 2, plus I lost 1 when I dropped the pot while trying to open the door and keep the cat out
