New Grower Zamaldelica express under overdriven t8s

Well, I checked the soil outing the bag and it was actually slightly higher than what I measured in the pot, a solid 7!
Maybe the mix was high enough ph that it needednot much lime when they balanced it at the manufacturer, and I am now seeing a ph drop and mag deficiency as that lime is used up?
Not that the ph dropping from too high to in the range of correct should cause issues anyway...
The yellowing isspreading slowly but surely, so I’ve got to handle it next watering...
And yeah, I should buy a ph pen too I know haha.

Well she is still drinking, gonna water tomorrow hopefully?
In the interest of not locking myself in time wise, I’m not going to brew a compost tea. If it’s ready and the plant aren’t thirsty enough to warrant it, I’m gonna be all itchy to do it anyway haha.
I am going to top dress with Garden Tone, then an inch or so of Bumper Crop which is another Master Nursery product.
The garden tone has a nice breakdown, and the cal and mag are in similar ratios to hydro organics calnmag(earth juice is the best reference I have for growing herb, so It seemed reasonable to use that as a reference)so I’m hopeful this will handle my mag deficiency as well as prep for flowering, which is surprising me honestly!
In a good way too haha!

So I hit the older girl with 4tsp(by the bag would have been 4.5 tsp) of Garden Tone mixed with 4 cups of BumperCrop, was a 3/4 inch deep layer on top of the soil.
Watered in with bubbled tap water with 1tbsp Epsom salts per gallon, and Assist.
Watered last night, def seems perkier today, but that may just be due to being pretty damn dry.
Younger girl started getting tied down, gonna feed her the same as the older at next watering, get ahead of these issues hopefully.
Black DOG is not dead yet either haha

Well the older plant is improving, not dumb enough to say out of the woods yet haha.
Still not as green as she could be, but def responding to food.
Building flowers up pretty well still I think though!

Great job so far bud excited to watch
Thank you for following along. I’m really getting more out of keeping this journal here than I expected, something about the community nature of it. I keep a garden journal anyway, which is great for straight up records, dates etc, but having to describe things in a way that is digestible for other people is helping me think through things differently, def helping me slow my roll as far as over caring for these girls haha

Well, I broke down and bought a decent ph meter.
My water was at 7.8. So that’s no good haha.
the older plant shows it, the younger, not so much. Looks maybe too lush? Maybe I’m being paranoid.
Mixed up some normal strength Earth Juice Grow, and Bloom with 1 tsp molasses per gal, as I know from pst experience this drops the ph tons, and I’ve used it not ph adjusted before and not had issues, except for plants that got rootbound it went way long, and I don’t think that’s an issue here.
So ph dropped to 3.8! Scary!
Gonna feed the old one tonight.
But I think it’s gonna work out just fine.:eek1:
