COMMENTS:

The forecast lied.
It's 32°C in the shade right now, and it's not at the hottest part of the day.

Needless to say the girls are THIRSTY!
Had to give them 3 litres each today, and they might need the same tomorrow.
Hopefully not, but tomorrow is forecast to be hotter, so they might need it.

Switched to BLOOM nutes today.
Except for the late-to-the-party Unnamed Substitute Auto girls - they're still sucking down GROW nutes, as per previous feeding.

H4ChMMS.jpg

Did a bit more deforestation today.
I want both the sunlight AND any breeze that comes along, to have as little resistance as possible.
With temps in the mid to high 30's, they need as much opportunity to respire as I can give them.

You know when pretty much anything that could go wrong, does go wrong?
Had another one of those moments today.
There I was out watering the girls, when the neighbours dog decides to come and visit.
Nothing wrong with that, per se ... until he decided to show his happiness and he steps into the middle of Campus and decided that's the perfect moment to use his wagging tail as a weed whacker, hitting as many branches and buds as he can.
Two breakages later, I'm back out there with tape and wires to salvage the damaged girls after the canine assault and battery.
Not happy.

If it ain't the threat of stem boring caterpillars, it's the over-enthusiastic branch breaking tail of a dog.
With every day that passes, there is more and more reason to throw these ladies into a greenhouse. with mosquito mesh [or similar] over the door openings.

Hi Yozhik ;)
First at all, I'm sorry to hear about your problems with the electricity., be careful and I recomend you to increase the amount of power contracted. Seems like the wires were working at high temperatures due to a electrical overload.

On the other hand, I'm very glad to see how the plants are enjoying their new space. Now you need to use more water because the Sunlight warm up the pots faster.
The best timing to do the watering is at early morning so the plants can endure the hot day. Also, I read in some book something about this and I remember it says that plants take the food only at morning...

Hope this helps you and good luck!!

Hi @Sweet Seeds Jay !

Thanks for popping in.

Yes - early morning is definitely best.
Around sunrise or soon after.

Will be setting the alarm clock for early morning starts.

I'm trying to find a deposito de agua con grifo - 50 o 60 litros - so that I don't have to keep carrying smaller water bottles to the plant site.

COMMENTS:

The newspapers and internet are filled with stories of a Spanish heatwave, which means its going to get HOT.
Soooooooo - up early this morning and let the girls have a good drink, before the heat of the day hits them.
By the time its at its peak, they should be filled to the gills with nourishing and fortifying goodness pumping through their veins.

Still zero signs on nute burn.
Not even a tiny tip.
I'm tempted to push them a little harder, but would be keen to keep as little nute stress away from them as possible given the amount of heat stress coming their way!

Have taken some pics to really show off the LST and defoliation.
Top down pics are misleading as to how open and naked these girls really are.
It will be in the latter and final stages the benefit of the defoliation should come through - but for now, its looks a little post-apocalyptic.

The benefit of the LST.
NB: take special note of how many first and second node branches are now tops.

Py2xnCV.jpg

Normally the playground of fluffy popcorn and disappointing bud that gets thrown away, the LST has seen lower economy seat limbs promoted to champagne swilling first class seats.

POT/MEDIUM: ... 30 litre pots with New Mix 2.0 Cannabiogen soil

FEED QUANTITY: ... NIL BY MOUTH

HfqdhQX.jpg

COMMENTS:

No feeding today.
Mother Nature has decided to provide the tiniest amount of drizzle today.
Can't call it rain exactly.
I'm confident my morning pee has more volume than what fell from the heavens today, but it's enough to keep the girls moist.

[... said the actress to the Bishop ... Oooh errr matron]

Things are looking LUSH.
Leaf colour is exactly how I would have it, if I had a magic wand - the lighter side of vibrant green, but nowhere near the yellow spectrum, and well away from that darker racing green which hints at N-toxicity.

HfZlcLi.jpg

Might have to break out the defoliation equipment again.
A couple of the girls are rebelling and daring me to give them another haircut.
Always up for a challenge, I have gracefully and graciously accepted.
One in particular needs a full Brazilian.

The only question I have is, "do I have something eating the girls?"
Is a creepy crawly viewing Campus as a free food service?
Maybe a soup kitchen for homeless pests and bugs.
Neem application was prior to any signs of this, and only a couple of days ago, so too soon for another application.

G3pv9Zs.jpg

I can't imagine it being nute burn or splashing from watering - it might be - but I can't see how the 'splash' would only be on fan leaves, and in the most difficult part of the plant to 'splash'.

These leaves are in the central area of growth - not the outside - so I'm not sure how that could happen with clumsy watering.
Anyway - will monitor it closely over the next 24/48 hours.

Oh - and the water on the leaves in the pics IS water - that's the pathetic bladder emptying from Mother Nature.
I took pics while she was peeing.
