After their 4 hour 'lights off' sleep, The Girls were given a hearty feeding.
Walking the fine line between feederism and nute burn ... pushing them to within an inch of their limits.
Monitoring very closely.

Will have some pics tomorrow, and will try and highlight the explosion of foxtailing on the Devil Creams, which reading through some other journals, seems to be a tendency of the strain. Not worried about it - just seems to be a characteristic of the Devil Cream genetics.

No feeding today; all the ladies were given a healthy breakfast last night when they woke up from the lights off period.
Easy morning for me, just taking pics on campus.

Highlighting the Devil Cream girls today, and the foxtailing across both plants.
Not too concerned about it.
It does seem to be a genetic trait of the strain, going by other grow journals.

@Hansbricks - didn't you have a foxtailing Devil Cream in one of your grows?
I'm sure I recall reading through that ... and from memory, the yield was still impressive.

The Killer Kush are simply looking ... well ... Killer.
I've always had a soft spot for Killer Kush 3, and you can see why in the photos below.

Canopy is looking somewhat even ... 'ish ... but I've given them some freedom to roam over the last week or so.
Hence the slow transition to a more unkempt look ... they're getting that hipster thang goin' on.
Their early childhood was about very strict rules and order ... now I'm giving them their head, and allowing some individual expression.

Foxtailing Devil Creams​

Yeah my Devil Cream definitely had foxtailing buds, seems like a common trait for sure. Mine was almost 4' tall as well, very sativa pheno I had. Buds were heavy with resin though so yes yield was still quite good at 119g.

They LOOK fluffy, but at 119g, they obviously weren't so fluffy as to have no substance!
But damn ... the colour of them is sensational - you just want to grab the photo and eat it.
Did they smell and taste as good as they look?

Yeah the buds were kinda just like clusters of foxtails, so kinda fluffy but super sticky... it was a big plant though, don't have any final pre-harvest pics of her but here's what she looked like at just day 40 so you have an idea


The cured buds had a strong sweet citrus smell to them, mostly lime I'd say. When you busted them up the aroma would fill the room I've still got a couple more of these seeds so definitely be growing this again... there's a fat indica pheno I've seen that I woudn't mind getting.:smoking:

Kicked off The Girls' weekend with a good feeding.

Some leaves are looking a little manky - but I'm not too bothered given how far along they are in their expected life span.
The newer leaves are looking strong and healthy, and bud development looks on point, so I'm not going to focus on the cosmetic degradation of a few senior citizen leaves. That's life - happens to all of us.

The reality of the trimming job ahead has just landed in my head.
I guess that's the quid pro quo nature of the relationship ... The Girls give their all, I give the sufferance of trimming.
