Yeah. It's all good mate.

That reading of EC 1.9 must have been an anomaly.
I recalibrated, cleaned and remeasured and it came out at EC 0.5, which is what it is out of the tap.

DAY 74

Temps have been horrendous.
Sometimes pushing 32°C in the tent.

One of the Auto Night Queen girls slipped into a deep depression, self harmed, and collapsed.
It came on suddenly.
No one likes to see one of the girls leave the family, but her remains will be harvested and put to good use.
Her yield was not what was expected, but given the very trying conditions, and also the tent only being run on 1200W of HPS, yield was never going to be high anyway.

Skanky Lanky - the ridiculously lean Auto Blackberry Kush has foxtailed herself onto life support system.
She'll be the next to register as a morgue resident.

The deep purple ABK looks to be ready to meet her fisker.
She is purped up - a real bag appeal diva.
The third [and final] ABK is still green leaved and looks like she has some time, She's the green pheno - which some prefer and claim to be more potent, so she might be well worth the extra time.

Still looking great Yozhik! I'd love to sample shanky lanky (my auto correct had a blast with that name). Either she's a big dud or something freakishly strong. I'm guessing the latter!
Looks like you gave mother nature's heat spell a good fight. Good job buddy!

DAY 75

Very tempted to start chopping, but the green leaves tell me there's more life left in the girls yet.
Well, apart from the depressive, self-harming Auto Night Queen, who has, for the most part, already been introduced to the Great Fisker in the sky.

I suspect Deep Purple - the most blackberry coloured of the Auto Blackberry Kush ladies - will be first on the harvesting stage.
Followed closely by Skanky Lanky.
The Green ABK and the remaining 2 x Auto Night Queen could go another week.
I'm in no hurry, now that I have the 2nd smaller tent which I can dedicate to drying, it means I don't have to take them all down at the same time, to retool the growing tent into a drying space.

It's a small luxury, but I truly wish I had done it from the get go.
It makes the world of difference!

Hey. Your blackberry kush looks like a killer smoke. Very nice color!
Its problematic to use hps in the summer, i know as i use hps aswell. I tought for a while i had to give up, and throw in the towel... but i turned off the lights in the day time, 11 to 20 some days. I had 31-32c and it really fucked them up. After i started to let them rest the hottest time of the day they turned into the better. Or do you have hot in the night aswell? 28c+?

My lights off period is during the hottest part of the day. [2pm - 7pm]

However, even at night, with the shutters closed all day, the inside temps are still around 30-32°C.
Outside it's 35-45°C, for days on end, so the heat buildup is significant.
Keeping the HPS baked tent to 30-32°C - the same as inside living rooms temps - is a feat itself.
Sure, it's not ideal, but given the conditions, it's pretty bloody good!
