Coffee grounds are acidic.
I did not say anything about roots. Transplanting is stressful. Also Anyone who does not manipulate tight roots is a fool.

I was replying to the OP about the roots but I don't ever see anything I could call stress when I transplant tho authorities claim there is some.

I agree. If done right you should not notice anything outwardly. It will stop growing somewhat until it adjusts.
