So i haven't grown anything in a long time, but since they have legalized in canada, I figure I might as well save myself a couple bucks, and enjoy something I've helped create! I've done a little bit of research and I like the idea of being able to harvest autoflower earlier in the season than regular cannibas plants,, this research has led me to this site with a wealth of info on it,, I'm hoping to get some help and suggestions in my little endeavour.
Anyhow,, I plan on growing along the Ontario side of Lake Erie, I mean right on the bank of Lake Erie. Family owns farmland that abuts the lake and has ravines coming up from Lake Erie, where the farm fields drain into the lake. I plan on using a boat to access these areas so nobody sees me entering these ravines.
I'm looking for some info on what people would suggest strain wise to grow? What side of the ravine should I plant on? East west or right in the middle of it? I'm thinking the west side closer to the top of the ravines(they are 60-80 feet deep) so they get morning sun and most of the day until later evening, this will also keep the deer away,, they hate the steep banks of the ravines. I plan on going out this weekend and preparing some spots, I have unlimited access too lots of mushroom compost. Is this wise to use for these plants? What else should I be adding to this sandy soil? My biggest worry for these plants is with my job I work far away from home for 2 weeks at a time so I can't water on a daily or even weekly basis,, is this doable? What should I do so I don't risk killing plants in possible extreme heat and humidity(sometimes in 90s with 80% humidity for several days).
Also I plan on planting whatever seeds I decide to order, right Into the soil with out germination possibly.. I've read a few things about putting 2 litre pop bottles over the seeds or seedlings. Is this a bad idea if I plant and can't get to them for a couple weeks?
I know lots of questions but any help would be greatly appreciated..
