Sorry for the bad pun but I do have a serious question. I'm going to be growing out a few seeds to clone for my first photo run. Any guys have a rough estimate of how long I'm looking at from seed to be able to take roughly 15-20 cuttings each. I'm not going to keep them as permanent mothers so if they die from the cloning that is alright with me. They will be indica dominant to pure indica strains that I will run for a sog configuration.

What light?

Makes a huge diference...plus how good you are at those crucial first two weeks easing into the full fert...

If you have a 400 or bigger... maybe your results could be as follows....

4 weeks 1-3 cuttings...
4-6 weeks 3-7 cuttings
6-8 weeks 8+

some results may vary strain to strain, and your growing ability and of course the all mighty light.

4 ladies under 600w I need around 15 each rooted to choose the keepers.

To take that many cuttings buddy I would let them go at least 6-8 weeks if not more depending how there veg growth is for the particular strain. Let me guess you are going to mother the og kush?

Nah I got aroura indica I already wanted to grow out plus I have violator kush to grow first. I'm gonna have two of each to take cuttings and I only need 24 of each total

If you want to take all your clones off one plant at the same time. I would suggest topping at the second node letting the four lower branches grow out. Top those 4 branches and get 8... Top those 8 and get 16... Let those sixteen branches grow out until you can take clones above the first node of those sixteen. Allow your mother plant to veg for another 2 weeks and you should have yourself a 32 headed monster along with the 16 clones to boot

That sounds cool but I'm not trying to veg out for a long time either. I'm willing to kill all four plants by cutting clones. These two strains I have enough beans to do that no problem.

More seeds better selection...the more you start the less plants you need the faster you will reach 24... But you want the right 24 what if you clone the less than perfect one?
