Hey everyone i have been sent the the telos 0006 to product test for AFN.
Big thanks to grow northern.
So basically its 180w (actual draw) led unit with a 3000k spectrum with added red using cree and osram diodes and a meanwell driver.
Its ip66 rated so no worries about moisture and passively cooled with their custom designed aluminium heatsink.
So runs completely silent.
Heres the link to gn's website with all the details

Ok lets get the package opened. It did come in a plain package and was well wrapped up.
The first thing i noticed was how heavy the unit is at 6kg. The heatsink and brackets are made from anodised aluminium, the bolts are all stainless steel and the optic is made from plexiglass.
The quality of materials used is highly impressive, it feels heavy duty like its built to last. I use power tools for a living and its better built than anything i have ever used. I would almost say over-engineered.
Now to plug it in..
Its very bright considering it only draws 180w. It also came with instuctions and wire hangers.
The power cable is 3 metres long and has a nice twist lock joint.
It looks and feels like an impressive piece of kit.. but the real question is how well does it grow.
To test it out im running some sour diesel autos from dinafem.
I put 5 into root riots about 2 days ago
And here they are today
They will move into 18 litre pots filled with CRE light mix soil and im using biotabs.
GN recommends the light distance be kept at
100cm away from seedlings
80cm away during veg
60cm away during flower
So i will stick to their heights.
Next update i will have the seeslings potted up.
