my question is will it hurt my auto if i trim the small slow growing lower branches that arent gettin any light? each plant has like 2 lower branches that arent getting any light. they r 4 to 5 weeks old just starting to flower a couple days ago and r in the stretch phase. can i cut these couple lower weak ones off to help the other branches or will this do more harm than good due to the stress from the cut someone plz help me out i dont want to waste energy one usless parts.

I have seen mixed opinions on this. I say if they aren't just completely dead then leave them on for Autos. But I have seen some that do and they will come around I'm sure. Most of them will die off anyway, but if they're green they're still taking in some light. But I know what you mean, they get in the way and aren't getting that much light. Just my :2cents:

:smokeit:As long as there green and don't hide any buds I would leave them,if thet turn yellow then you can get rid of them.

Nope Bro..it won't hurt them..

alot of people say dont touch the leaes but I trimmed about 4 of my lower leaves and if anything it helped my top growth my girl was already stunted just my :2cents: :peace:

I'll sometimes trim low branches or leaves to open up the bottom of the plant and promote better air circulation. Especially if they are so low that they will likely get damaged while watering or if they are so close into the main stalk that they are very shaded. Those never amount to much anyway.

yeah muddy those r the ones im talkin bout they dont get much light and i know there not got have hardly anything on them being so low and shaded. i just wanted to make sure i didnt hurt the plant cause ide rather energy go in to parts that will produce. i dont want to do it if its gonna hurt the plant more than it will help. i want the energy to go to the parts that r getin light and will produce somtin worthy. its my first auto grow i just wanted to make sure i wasnt gonna stunt them or sumtin cause if it was a photo id definatly trim those lower ones to force the plants energy into more bud worthy sites.

I lolly popped the 2 Think Different I'm growing and it worked great, check out the pics on my grow diary.

j did it slow em down or stunt them in any way when u cut the lower brancheds off

i almost always clip the bottom branches if they dont get much light anyways, never had a problem with it stunting them.. and as muddy said it helps with air circulation
