If I reversed a Fastbuds Gorilla Cookies, and used it to pollinate another Gorilla Cookies, would the seeds be gorilla cookies, or different combinations of the Gorilla Cookie's parents?
I originally thought it would be like a clone in seed form, but now I'm thinking it will be the latter?
I reversed some branches and they're fixing to pop BUT
I also have a regular autoflower male in bloom, from a Cheese male crossed with GSC autos.
Would I be just as well, or even better off to pollinate the Gorilla Cookies with the true male Cheese x gsc, instead of using reversed pollen?
I would prefer regular Auto seeds if the femmed ones will all be different anyway.
Im sure ill do both, but this would help guide my future decisions with breeding autos. If someone could tell me if making femmed seeds of a plant reverts back to different combos of its parents, then Ill probably stick with regular auto pollen.
If this makes any sense, lol.
I'm asking what would you do, I guess
Thanks

Seeds can never be an exact duplicate as a clone is. My brothers and sisters all had the same parents, but we don’t all look like twins.

Thanks. I think Im starting to get it.
If I had 2 stable strains, and knew I liked the hybrid they made crossed together, then is this when I would make the femenized seed?
Like reverse a good Gorilla, and use it to pollinate a good Cookies strain, for example to make a Gorilla Cookies?

You could, most of the offspring in F1 are pretty uniform, each like the other. Now if you were to continue and breed the F1s to F2s then you would see a more complete variation in the genetics between parents. After that, your crossing the ones you want to stabilize as a "new" strain.

I have a strain that I reversed a gold glue and pollinated a sour stomper (f1) then grew thos out and used a male from a different strain to pollinate that. (Still f1, first cross). These will be back crossed to the GG/SS repeatedly (shooting for 6 times) called cubing. Used to purify a line.

@Arthur is speaking the science better than I can. I am no breeder, but know once you cross two strains together you have stepped into a world of dedicated hard work and documentation to get it right. My seed making is only for duplicating and feminizing landrace strains and autoflowers that I like. I have no desire to create and stabilize crosses. Most of my seed goes for myself & select friends.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
I was wanting to make more Gorilla Cookies seeds.
I reversed one, and it's about to open it's flowers, but at the same time I also have a male auto thats blooming, thats Cheese X GSC.
I wasn't sure if Gorilla Cookies was considered a "Stable strain", and If I used it to pollinate another Gorilla Cookies, If I would be making more Gorilla Cookies, OR if the seeds would be mixes of Gorilla and GSC?

If they would just be mixed up, then I would rather pollinate with the true male auto.

Anything you cross is going to be a mixture of the genetics. There might be a stable Gorilla Cookies out there, but it’s because the breeder stabilized it thru crosses and back crossing until they had the traits prominent that they want and eliminated the ones they don’t.

If you are making seed just for yourself that’s no big deal, but if you were to sell your crosses thats a different story. I don’t even give away anything I think might be a cross. I will give away and have, many autoflower seeds that I have reversed. As far as I’m concerned there are plenty of great autoflower breeders out there just waiting to be replicated. When I want to add something new to the collection I get one of my friends that benefits from my efforts to purchase a 5/10 pack. I think the last autoflower seed I purchased myself was 4 years ago.

So, you're saying if I used reverse pollen from one Gorilla Cookies from Fastbuds to pollinate another one, then the seeds WILL be Gorilla Cookies?
I'm not trying to make a cross, but if the ones I'm reversing are hybrids like most stuff, then I figure I might be pissing in the wind by trying to make more Gorilla Cookies?

Yes, if you reverse any one strain of autoflower and then cause the same strain to be pollinated with it, you will have feminized autoflower seeds of that strain. That’s how I started, beating the pricing on autoflower seeds. My first was Dutch Passions Auto Mazar.
