People need way more info than that. What strain? What size pots? What's the grow setup? What are you feeding them? What's your light schedule. Not trying to be a dick, the post is just too vague.
At 50 watts per sq. ft. 1,400 watts is enough to cover 28 sq. ft. Assuming 3 gallon pots and 5 gallon buckets, you'll need about 1.25 sq. ft per plant. So 22 plants. In 2 gallon pots you could probably fit 30, even if some are in 5 gallon buckets. But that's packed pretty solid. If you need to leave room to walk, then less.
I have 25 per 1000w in 4x4 area in 1.7gal 7" square pots. 50 should be fine but the problem is the size of your area. Must be able to fit all those. Why not just do all dirt???

IMHO its better to start in dirt to learn how to read your plants. now i know some that started in hydro and have kept w/ it...but i still believe they wouldn't have had as much trouble starting in soil 1st....
if you're in a 6x6 use 2x600w. I have a 6.3x6.3x6.3 tent and it made for 2 lights. With 2 gal pots I can fit 50-60 in there. I would use 2000w with that many plants though. U should go with 2x600w. If you already have the 1000w. Place it directly above the 20 and place the 400 near the other 10. Try 3 gal pots since u have a 6x6 area. Will get bigger plants
EDIT: Yes as Smash said, Start in soil. More room for errror. With hydro, u mess up once within the first few weeks and you're done
