Mate it's easy and to be honest I don't think how much hydroton is in the bottom matters as long as your roots are developed enough before you switch on your res but don't quote me on that ha ha

Iv seen a few people have problems with to much Hydroton and it not wicking from what I seen only a very little like one layer is plenty

mine were over or at least up to the airdome my problem was I switched on a week early watch me go next time might run the shortstuff in bubble bucket and autopots as the rest of the blue cheese will be down :smoking:

I use rhizotonic by canna for the first 4 or 5 weeks after the second watering I use at full strength (4 ml per ltr of water)for 3 weeks then back down to half strength but watch your ph when using it as it takes my ph 7.2 to 9.8 then after about 5 weeks no root boosters at all :smoking:

Well the world is full of surprises the hydroponics shop actually had a 60lr airpump and calmag and they sell sm90 oh well there goes another £100 ha ha
