OK guys, my problem seems to be the opposite of what you guys are saying. I'm in AZ. which is a hot / dry climate. I run my 600 watt Meizhi LED on 12/12 from midnight till noon. I'm in the 2nd week of flower & this is 1 plant in a 2' x 4' x 6' tent. (I'll try to upload a photo after I create this post) The Temp in the tent with lights on is usually between 78 F/ 26 C - 82 F / 28 C. RH has been around 28% - 35% & stays between there when lights are off. I just added a couple of wet towels in a bucket last night to try to bring the RH up some because I only have 1 humidifier & it's being used in my other tent. The wet towels brought it up a little so far & It's now @ 38% RH. I'm also increasing my exhaust fan speed to try to draw more hot air out of the tent. It exhausts out the window. I have 1 oscillating fan on at all times also in this small tent. When lights are off temps only drop to 74 F / 23.5 C - 75 F / 24 C.
So by what I read in the High Times article on VPD it sounds like my temps are too high & my RH is too low. (I'll post what it says)
I'm only getting a drop of water on 3-4 leaves at this time & it's the top leaves so I'm wondering if my light is too close & causing too much heat on those couple of leaves. The light is about 12" above the canopy & I can't get it any higher without changing the way my exhaust fan is set up in the tent. I've been tying branches back to keep them from growing into the light. Going to buy another 4' x 4' x 7' tent today if possible & switch everything out because this small tent just don't cut it. The other plant is in that size tent with no issues. Wish I didn't sell my 4' x 8' x 7.5' tent right now (kicking myself for that).
So .... I have no way to really get the temps lower than 75 - 82 F without a bigger grow area to spread the heat out more. I can bring the RH up to match the temps however & add Co 2. But from what I've read Co 2 doesn't really help unless your grow area stays in the 90's F.
Hopefully, you guys have some suggestions on what I can do for the time being now that you have more info.
I'll post the High Times info below in another post & then try to upload some pics.
Thanks for all your replies. The more I can learn, The better I'll get at this.
