Why is my White Widow Purple?

Seems like a good example of what's being discussed in the "calling out bad autoflower genetics thread.

https://www.autoflower.org/posts/2492866/

This is an example of my issue with these seed banks.

Thats a great looking plant, I bet it will smoke real good.

But is it really " White widow"?
If it's an auto no auto could be white widow and there are probably multiple versions of white widow. Because ivev smoked. Different cuts that were similar but not exactly the same. It should be citrus and woody

Genetics yes, but at the same time, how do you know the seeds you received are in fact white widow?
:yeahthat:

If you ended up buying "white label" seeds they could be from anywhere (likely one of the 4-5 wholesale breeders in Europe) and even cultivar identification can be suspect. I would throw out some names but then this thread will turn into a defense of certain seed retailers and other unhelpful fanboy blatherskite, so I will refrain.
