It is drain to waste (the outdoor yard gets all of the runoff).

The filter pads on the humidifier have become Hydrophobic and are not wicking properly. I cannot get the humidity up where I want it. I have the lights running only at 125w each and still needed to turn on the exhast system to handle the heat. It also pumps out the moist air.

I just thought maybe I will try some Yucca in there to see if I can get it wicking again. Yes I ordered new filters and should be here tomorrow.

It makes so much more sense now that i've seen pics too thank you Thought it was one question but it may only take one answer How often do you drain the rez empty? once a week? even if the balance doesn't change?

The reservoir is completely drained and refreshed every week. Then each day a little less than half of it is fed to the plants. At the end of that day I refill the reservoir to the original level and add back in the balanced base fertilizers that were used for that week up to the original PPM. I only add the bennies on a reservoir at refresh, once a week is plenty for the plant. If I want to add something organic, carbs etc. I do that on the last day of the cycle so they cannot pollute the res with microbe growth or a biofilm that stops oxygenation.

First off whenever I talk about a day I mean a 24 hour period. This will be two plant days.

The first day I was running ~500 PPFD the second was ~700 and today I have it up to ~820 or 23.62 DLI. I am only running the lights at ~175w The 17w is the blue pucks. I don't think I will have any problem getting to 43 DLI.
