He is a STUD!

Chopped him down today, shook the shyte out of him over and on the ladies. I could tell a few flowers had already gotten hit with the pollen, closest to the little guy. The pistols already were turning brown on the tops and shrinking back into the flower. Got a good dusting and placed him in a glass of water and will do it again tomorrow night and I'll toss him out. I'll need to spray down the entire tent and room with a spray bottle Saturday, to kill any rogue pollen floating around. Great times we are having, doing the plant nasty!:hump:

OK, just gave the boy another romp with his lady friends and dusted the shit out of them and bagged him up and tossed him. Most of the pistols were brown and pulled back into the pre flowers, letting me know that the first dusting was a success, but had to let em have it one more time to make sure all the bud sites got hit. Sorry to see him go, but the offspring are going to be great!

Update! Heading into week 6 and the ladies never looked better! Pollenation was a success and am now going to be giving them just enough nutes to keep em going. I dont want to go over kill on the cal/mag, as that makes the beans hard to crack/germinate. So a simple feed schedule to get these ladies to produce the goods. I am not too worried about getting vapable bud off them, but what is left over from the seed harvest, will go into a crockpot and made into coconut oil canna capsules! Enough banter, on to some pics...
the ladies after being pollenated...

A few close ups of the tops of the flowers, to let you know that the pollen took. The pistils turn brown and curl up into the flower, which means we are good to go! I hit em pretty hard twice and when I chopped the male, I shook and rubbed him over all the ladies, even the side branches, to make sure every flower cluster got hit.

With this run, what will the offspring generation be on these @FullDuplex ?
This will make them F8 IBL.. The roll that you did there would have been the same selection in male that i would have done. The females all look like the ones that i get so the next generation you run will look even more alike. I love how stable these are looking.

F'n awesome. I wish I had the time and patience to do what you're doing. Those look beautiful man. :slap: ID hit you harder but that'd all I got

Thanks for stoppin in @stepside !! It doesn't take patients mate, just like growin, just let them do their thing! Its easy! Just make sure if you want to get into it, be selective in your search for a great male and female. Look for traits that make the strain better. Vigor, symmetry, structure, anything to make them better! It also helps to start with great genetics, reputable breeders and several generations down a line. I am going to repro a few more dragons, then on to some of my own stuff made last year and roll those into F2. The best thing I like about breeding, is you free up alot of money from buying beans. Most growers like a variety of smoke, so you can take 5 fems of 5 different strains and get a good line of regular beans, plant 5-10 of those and keep the good males and pollenate the whole batch. Now you have 5 different strains to play with. But bottom line, anyone can just chuck pollen, but selective breeding is where its at, for the best possible outcome.
last year I grew out 6 different fems in 20oz. solo cups and had 2 choice male Stone Dragons dads and got it down to the 1 male that had "the stuff" and ended up with more seeds than a hobby grower could grow out in a lifetime! Free from the seedbanks and 10-20 bucks per seed. Yeah, all the beans are regs, but regs are more stable and early on, you have the choice to take a strain in any direction you want. Then, you can grow out the original female strain you started with and strengthen the line! Many options and fun to do any breeding project. With FD taking these to F7, the strain is already stable, superb and I cant wait to grow out the offspring! All showed the same traits, even the male, so the offspring should be stellar. Try 1 breeding project and I will guarantee, you will be hooked! More addictive than growing for sure!
