Awsome!!! The jars are cool ,they have a bunch of "brand names" you can prolly find a good deal on ebay..I leave mine in one of the silicon dishes, they dont have lids but that's okay.a few of the guys at the start of this thread use a hair dryer to blow warm air over it,never use a beat gun tho, they get way to hot..the extractcraft units look kickass,i bought things a little at a time and it easnt so bad but, closed loop and recovering the eth would open up a whole new world of possibilities..

What a long read! I've been doing etoh extractions for a little over a year now and perfecting my method. I don't do it for smoke so much as Coco caps and butter. But, I think you guys will like some of the stuff I use because I reclaim most of my Everclear.
So over time I've come to find that I like to use bone dry Bud. Cracked and crumbled into pieces about the size of half of a piece of popped corn. I don't decarb anymore because I process in a closed loop and I hope I retain more turpenes.
My theory is etoh can only carry so much oil and wax and that lots of alcohol gets more of the good stuff and less of the bad. So I wash 10-12 grams material in one pint of everclear. The bud, jars and everclear go in the freezer over night.
I fill a jar with etoh and shake hard for 3 minutes, then screen filter and later coffee filter. So an ounce takes 3 pints off etoh washed once.
Then I poor my mix into my piture and mark the level, then into my still it goes. At this point if I'm making coco caps I add a couple table spoons coco. Usually, I put in a pound of butter.
If I do butter the extra water from the etoh and butter collects around the inside of the still and I poor off perfect butter. It's about 5x's stronger than water bath butter. If i make coco caps I add Lecithin before putting it caps.
So I use a water distiller modified to distill etoh, can find them at brew shops in the US.
Some thoughts if you can't get everclear. Look into molecular filters i think 3a would filter all the water out of 151 so you could hit 95%.
Analytical 360 in WA has been testing rso since 2012, it can be interesting looking at solvent residue when deciding how safe methods are.
Lately I've been wanting to make an ejuice style vape so I'm going to up my game and winterize and polish my extract to get 90+℅ before I experiment with pg,vg, maybe peg.
Here's some kit I found on the bay that will help. Ships from Hong Kong so most places could order of eBay US if needed.
Also picked up a vacuum pump and filters for less than $100 all in. For a perge I have a big dehydrator with a hepa filter on the air intake and variable temp control. When I do make dabs on occasion.
Thats a cool looking unit right there!!! Thank You for sharing with the members, max rep for that!! Is this one of the units that does the cooking while reclaiming the iso/eth?? Arw you gonna do a tutorial on it?? Ill follow!! Im gonna do some checking, cause now that more items are coming to the forefront,we as the consumers will have more choices..peaceWew
