Hi I'm running a 250w sont bulb on 20/4 I'm using a heavy duty extractor fan in my grow box witch is in my garage I have good temps and a circulating fan my question is if my extractor gave up temps would go threw the roof in a confined space would this be a fire hazard or would the bulb blow or the fuse before it got too hot I'm at work 10 hrs a day and I'm worried any help much appreciated !!

There's a fuse in the plug of the ballast and one in the plug board any good

GFC or GFI. Ground Fault Interrupt. Every outdoor, kitchen or bathroom circuit, anywhere where there is water, needs one per the electrical codes. They are those outlets that have the little button in the middle.

If your ballast is a good quality one it should have a thermal overload cut off built into it. If the temperature of the ballast gets too high it should automatically cut off well before any risk of fire.
