New Grower What was the best Auto strain released in 2014?

You really can't go wrong with anything by Mephisto Genetics. Sour Bubbly, Sour Hound, and 24 Carat are a few personal favorites.

I used to grow Dutch Passion autos almost exclusively, until I ran their AutoDurban Poison. That has to be the most boring smoke that I have ever experienced. It has an outstanding growth pattern with big buds, but it couldn't be any more bland tasting, smelling, and feeling. I can't overstate how disappointed I was with these, especially growing them side by side with photo Durban Poision.

On the other hand, Dutch Passon's AutoBlueberry is the greatest blueberry flavored auto that I have ever had. The AutoDurban was just such a let down that I have not put anything Dutch Passion in my tents since. I've got packs of AutoXtreme, AutoMazar, and AutoUltimate all moved to the back of the line.

If you're looking for quantity then Dutch Passion is the place to be. If you're looking for quality then you have better options.

I grew out Auto Durban Posion too last summer & I feel the exact same way about it. Sweet Tooth by Barneys Farm was the best Auto I grew. I'll have to try Mephisto next summer. I'll have to read up on their strains to see what to pick.

Too right GBD, i have to say a lot of DP Autos seem to taste the same or smoke the same. Dont get me wrong i love specific DP auto strains.

Probably my favorite I grew last year was HBSS, close second was 24c, both mephisto and very different smokes and I liked them both for different occasions. I also grew out some ThingDiff and it was a nice plant, not remarkable in any single aspect, but yield was good and while the smell wasnt extraordinary, it reminds me most of the smell of bags of good mexi brick I used to get back in the day, somewhat nostalgic and it gets the job done.

You think the Blues are some Special Stuff? Looking Fantastik ;-) i order the next days i dont now which beans.

The Blues is mephisto's favorite strain. I got hooked on Nirvana's Blue Mystic and I need to do a "blue" with better genetics. Gonna go with the main man's favorite strain.

My best grow this year was a Nirvana Northern Light Auto; it was nominated for BOM/POM for October 2014.

I just chopped some Barney's Sweet Tooth and out of ten seeds only 6 cracked and only 4 made the grade. 2 of those didn't autoflower and 1 foxtailed big time. Leaving me with one healthy plant. N e v e r. A g a i n. I'd always heard bad things about Barney's Farm and didn't believe it until that disastrous run!

Yeah it can be infuriating when it doesn't go as planned.
First time I tried growing autos a few years ago was with 5 Lowryder#2 seeds, 3 didn't germ & the other 2 died very shortly after. After that I was pissed off & done with Autos, all the Photos I grew were thriving.

A year later i decided to give autos 1 more go. I gave other breeders a chance & was converted with a successful quality grow. Maybe it was down to the Seedbank that had stale seeds not stored correctly. But it nearly made me close the door on autos altogether.

Also from Ireland here, ello.

I'd have to go with the Dinafem XXL series. I'm just finished with the White Widow XXL, it's geting the chop this afternoon. Definatley the tallest indica Iv seen. Im only using 11L pots and a 250w MH/HPS and their still 4 FOOT TALL !!
