Grow Mediums What to do.

As I say it's soil hybrid and can still grow organic but you get soil/DWC and being able to grow organically.

Well added O2 never hurts but with 3/8 holes roots will drop in water and still holds dirt inside. But interesting set up
Forgot to say you pack it down very tight at the bottom but they say on website it's not an issue for some soil to get into the water, and that it's to be expected.

So just a quick one, all my previous grows have been soil, and was tempted to try DWC but after lots of research it seems most agree that while hydo systems produce epic buds in quick time, he doesn't come close in regards to Smell and taste of soil grown bud. I was looking at the Octopots like a hybrid of soil and hydro but they are not available in the UK and think I could replicate it myself (Busy searching for right containers) But I see the Auto pots are they a similar thing? Just just with the res away from auto pot?

What are people's thoughts? I not sure about wilma etc as I like to do multiple strains.. And seems like hassle in a shared ress, anyone got any links to grows in hydro with multiple strains? And can leave some feedback that would be great.

As I say I love the look of Octopots and definitely think I can recreate it.

Hear people are having great results in other journals with these systems.

There isn't universal agreement that soil produces better buds than hydro.
My unorthodox opinion is that for people comfortable with measurements and meters, DWC is an easy setup.
DWC should be look at as growing in the single medium water instead of solid media plus water.
If you want the simplest DWC type setup, check out General Hydroponics Ecogrower, which can grow multiple plants without all the usual pumps and hoses.

Yea those eco systems look great, not easy to get hold off in the UK tho. I will reserve my opinion on Hydro vs Soil till I have personally done both. I know hydro is quicker and can produce more, but for me it's quality over quantity. From what I have read from people that have done both, most seem to think soil produces much tastier and smellier bud.. now I can't confirm as not done both. My issue with Hydro is the nutes, many of the big companies are affiliated with Monsanto! And I am not funding them, no way! I don't eat GM Food certainly not going to consume GM Cannabis lol... So it's more natural feeds vs synthetic nutrients, which is what hydro nutes seem to be, tho Botanicare seem to be the way forward were I to go to DWC.

This octopot is a cross between both but with the ability to use organic nutes.
