Depends what you're doing. A lot of indoor growers (who use soil) use products like BioBizz or Plant Magic and then various different feeds, personally I just use GrowMore with added nutrients (touch of lime to balance the acidity - some volcanic rock dust (personally i dont think this does anything but I got a sack of it at the allotment so I add some) - some sulphate of potash and a handfull of slow release nutrients. But then most of my plants only spend half their time in pots before going outdoors into soil (a mixture of my above mix and the local earth which also has some garden compost in it). I've never experienced any nute problems tho I do give them a couple of CalMag and Tomato fertiliser feeds once they are in full flower. Living in 'haggis' country the weather is the biggest problem here...
If u want a bare soil to add things as u need I'd use promix hp or sunshine #4. If you would like light nutrients in the soil to start with try plagron light mix like tang. Or try eitherof the above. They're should b a soil area under the forum section
I like Roots organic with steer manure and lime added to it. I can go over 30 days before the first feeding and it eliminates the need for veg nutes altogether.
i see thanks everyone! and when use say lime do use mean a whole lime squeezed in to each pot of soil at the start or what? i have 10L uk pots and planing on keeping them in them as i only have a small grow tent & a small 250w light
I've never used line but I believe there is a special kind to use for our plants. Give it a quick search on the search bar maybe? Wish I could b of more help. Is this your first grow? What kind of nutrients are you using?
yes this is my first grow i have 3 bottles one for veg one for flowering and the pk 14 or somthing like that for the buds? i am like a super noob lol i forgot the name of the stuff ill find out
Don't know much about the soil. Just feed plain PhD water or bottled spring water for the first 10 to 14 days. At this point you should see your plants starting to lose the vibrant dark green and that's when you would introduce your nutrients. Starting at 1/4 strength usually for autos. Slowly progressing to 3/4 or full strength. I'm not personally familiar with that nutrient line but I hear great things and it is designed specifically for our girls
