What size LED light for 2x4x5 grow tent

I was right in your position 2 months ago.Decided to go with 2 Vipar 300 for my 2x4 trying to save a few bucks...
25 days later i was buying a Mars Hydro SP 250 wich i think is the perfect format for a 2x4 tent being a long and narrow light .
It's got a very good quality driver and also good LEDs that give a bright white light.
There is some better light but for the price, i think it's a good bang for your buck!
Lights are important and a bad place to to try to save money...IMO.

Also a first time grower here.I started 3 plants and in 3 gals bags and thought i could fit 2 more for the first 20 days and quickly realize that i was wrong.3x3gals is the max you can fit.At day 57,2 of them have been in contact with walls of the tent for 10 days.No way i could have fit one more plant.

And that Sir, is why i'm building a second 4x4 grow closet this week end!!! :):d5:

Quantum boards confused me. Meizhi 600 results from Rwg111 sounds incredible. Does the 4x2 tent require two (2) meizhi 600 for optimal coverage?

What is your price range. If we can steer you to buy right the first time would have you time and money.

I really don’t have a high price limit. Logically though I would not like to waste money with no discernible benefit. I’m new to this and although this is exciting, there is no guarantee that I’ll expand or even continue after a few years. The Mars SP 250 looks good for a 4x2. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Two 130 watt quantum Boards like HLG or Niemiled work well in a 2x4 tent it allows you to adjust the lights height independently. You can even spread them apart to adjust coverage or run just one in early plant life.

If it was me I would DIY it but you may not be comfortable with that. Cheapest and most efficient route imo. This would be my number 1 choice. I think you're doing to get are more for your money this way and better than most of the other options out there.

Thanks for the recommendation for a 260 watt Qb V1 kit. I might just buy it.

Just watched the assembly video of the kit.
Pretty sure my 84 years old mom could do it! Very very easy!
Looks like a good deal!

You cannot beat the price, Quality, service and warranty of the sp-250. for $250 a deal. Adjustable meanwell drivers and top quality chips.
just take a few moments and read the reviews. you will not be disappointed. @MarshydroTina
